[h=1]Oil wavers with pipeline, Mideast in focus[/h]

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — Oil futures weaved in and out of the red Monday, as traders eyed the expected restart of a key North American pipeline as well as developments in the Middle East ahead of the expiration of November crude contracts at the close of the session.
On Monday, supply concerns were on the table following the temporary closure of a key pipeline in North America last week. The Keystone pipeline, which sends about 500,000 barrels per day from Canada to the Midwest, was shut last Thursday but was reportedly due to restart Monday, a day later than expected

Brit boffins make air-mazing find
GENIUS Brit engineers have pioneered a new technology that produces petrol – from AIR.

Experts hailed the breakthrough as a potential “game-changer” as scientists seek to solve the world’s energy crisis.
The small company from the north England has developed “air capture” technology which creates synthetic petrol with only air and electricity.
Company chiefs say they have produced five litres of petrol in less than three months at a small refinery in Stockton-on-Tees, Teesside by removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
They now hope to build a large plant generating more than a tonne of petrol per day within two years – and a REFINERY size operation within the next 15 years.

The company that supposedly has developed that technology happens to have the same street address as: "Petroplus Refinery".

Could it be a coincidence that they now are saying they have a new technology?

BBC News - Petroplus to file for insolvency

Hmmmmm.......

If it is indeed the same company, then one would wonder about the invention.

And if it's not, then I would think that a few well-placed Arab Oil Sheiks would make a substantial investment and buy the company- just to hide the technology.

Kind of like Fusion reactors- power will become so cheap that those who own today's oil will pay anything to keep it off the market .

Creating Jobs by Drilling

Emac's Bottom Line

The U.S. oil and natural-gas rush will add 1.7 million jobs this year at wages on average of about $35 an hour, “dramatically higher” than the average $23 an hour for other jobs in the economy, says consultant IHS in a new report.
IHS also forecasts the number of U.S. jobs in this booming industry will swell to 2.5 million by 2015, and to nearly 3.5 million jobs in 2035, noting this will be “high-quality and high-paying” work paying more than manufacturing jobs
So, why has there been so much resistance from the Administration and members of Congress to new drilling permits and projects like the Keystone Pipeline?
According to the Bureau of Land Management, in fiscal year 2011, 2,188 leases were issued for energy development on federal lands, down 37% from fiscal year 2007, when 3,499 leases were issued
