Oil Slick Stuff

When crude drops it's usually due to smaller demand or the dollar is on the rise, the dollar is stronger this morning, but the same thing happened yesterday and the dollar recovered in the afternoon. I'm sure that the retailers will ignore a drop in prices as long as they can, but as you know they jump on a rise in the futures prices as soon as they can.

Yup, if oil ends up going back to $110, we could easily see $4 gas and possibly $4.50...

Aussie gains as RBA unexpectedly holds off on rate cut

By Deborah Levine and William L. Watts, MarketWatch
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) — The U.S. dollar turned down against the euro on Tuesday, following reports that Greek government officials were putting together a detailed final document on measures needed to avoid default, against the backdrop of a nationwide strike.
Greek political leaders will meet later in the day, at the same time that the country is working on finalizing a debt-swap deal with private creditors.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against a basket of six currencies, turned down at 78.618 from as high as 79.265 and 79.064 last Monday in North America.

Yer right on that one!! I paid $3.43 a gallon yesterday and this is winter, wait until spring.

If you owned a flex-fuel car, you could choose which fuel to use for your situation--gasoline or that other stuff.

(Yesteday I paid $2.98 for E85. Gas here is $3.59 and climbing. Best price in my area for E85 is now $2.89 :-) :).
