SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — Crude-oil futures ended higher Monday, and gasoline futures rallied more than 2%, helped by a stretch of bitter cold in the Northeast U.S. and Europe, and expectations of increased auto travel over the Christmas holiday weekend.
Crude for January delivery [CLF11] , the front-month contract that expires Monday, rose 79 cents, or 0.9%, to $88.81 a barrel by the close of floor trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.http://markets.usatoday.com/custom/...S&guid={C7E9B204-0C3B-11E0-8617-00212804637C}

Oh I "get it" - they like high gas prices. They like to rape our wallets and bringing DOWN the price of petroleum products is the fricking LAST THING ON THE OIL COMPANIES COLLECTIVE MINDs!!! is it clear, folks? Can a get a Amen?

Yeah Id like cheaper GAS. But I got two BIG OL STATION WAGONS with LT1's and I am going drive, drive, drive em baybay. I dont care how much GAS they burn baybay.

Keep your stupid Rice & Corn burners, Smartfart cars and MiniChiknKoopers!! Ahha ha ha ha.

Theres something I never thought I'd see in the same sentence :p

Doooood! LT1 goodness is not just for Vettes & Impalas...have you not heard of the mighty Buick Roadmasters and Caprice Wagons equipped with them in the mid 90's? Granted these LT1 engines are a heavier iron block version.

I have a 95 Caprice and a 96 Roadie - the last of the great RWD wagons of the 20th century! Sweet!

I miss my Impala still. Very first car-73 version. Put a lot of long road miles on it plus was big enough to carry all my worlds belongs between towns for several years, when relocating for new jobs when I got out of college. :cool:

Thats nothing - Premium Gas here is around $3.25

Im so proud! :sick:
That $2.77 is for 87 octane, 10% ethanoil...I paid $2.89 for 89 octane pure Conoco last night..

There is a freeway Shell station near by that sells pure Premium 93 octane for $4.05.. (Big Johnson hi-way grill)---> don't get me started:D

Where abouts are you located Fab?

Kentuckiana : P

Gas prices are killer when you drive a long (20mi) way to the job and at least 10 or 12 mi. to the nearest supermarket.

There are a couple of small roadside gas and groceries places within 2-3 miles but not much selection.

Thus, it doesnt make me too sad to see the market come tumbling down like it did in May - that cuts gas prices a lot.
