SP500 S & P 500 Index Daily Commentary

Our system posted a SELL CONFIRMED today. The previous BUY recommendation was issued on 09.04.2007 (3) days ago, when the index value was 1,474.0. Since then SP500 has fallen -1.39% .

SELL-IF is confirmed by a black candlestick with a lower open. The selling price is today's open ( 1,475.0 ) according to the Rules of Confirmation.

Bears are getting stronger. The market hesitated a bit, but finally confirmed the bearish pattern with a one day delay. It opened today with a gap-down and the day’s activity resulted in a close lower than the open. This is a valid bearish confirmation.
The slight failure of the previous BUY signal is currently confirmed, too. We closely monitor the performance of the signals, but a few shots missing the target slightly are inevitable when you deal with the stock market. However, such signal failures are more unlikely for higher rated stocks.
We hope that you sold this index . Probably you realized a small loss but it is better to cut the losses short. Today you were supposed to watch the downward gap in the opening, wait a bit, feel the bearish tendency of the market making sure that prices stay below the opening price and then sell your shares. Your benchmark was the opening price of the downward gap. A weakness in prices is implied as long as the prices stay below the benchmark.
If you sold, keep away from this index until the confirmation of a new BUY-IF signal unless there is not an emergency warning. What to do if you did not already sell? Maybe, you did not have time to follow the session or you simply delegated the delicate job of confirmation to us. Well, it is a bit late, but not too late. You may still find suitable prices for selling your shares in the following sessions.
The market is an inviting one for short-sellers. Risk lovers may now go for short sale. The market is already moving on the side of shorts ignoring the confirmed bullish patterns.

Can someone confirm or tell me if the stock market is indeed tanking on the Nikkei with a current 2.3% loss on news that the Japan Economy report shows the Economy is shrinking due to company spending. Bloomberg reporting the US has infected Asia and surounding regions.

Nevermind...it is true...Nikkei is reported down 2.16% on news that Japan's economy is deaccelerating at at rate that was more than expected.

Anyone have any idea on what this will mean for the markets on US market on Monday?

It will be interesting, Can go either way, watch the Markets tomorrow until the deadline it's the only way I know, sorry. Check 350's I fund thread, I'm sure they are discussing what may happen tomorrow!:o

Yeah, saw that and the only thing I've seen lately that looks anything like a trend. Notice the S&P and the DWS4500 seem to be forming a pretty good HAMMER today. If we get that it may turn around this thing and give her another leg up?
I've been counting on the revisitation of the lows and lower and we seemed to be on the way, but if this turns around today and forms a pretty hammer I may modify my allocations tomorrow.:worried:

I don't think we are out of the woods yet, but there does seem to be some light near the end of the tunnel?

Or is that another dang train?.....

Wish those of us that stayed in good luck tomorrow...I walked the fence all morning and finally decided to stay the course...hmmmmm...

Let's hope that the positive divergence that's set up in the SPX continues, that the I Fund has a positive night, and that Uncle Ben gives the markets some good news tomorrow other than "we stand ready to help". The conflicting signals given by the Fed leaders are problematic...you don't know where they stand as a group..it's frustrating...

IMO, the Fed's involvement\action is much bigger now than bailing out the sub-prime mortgage debacle...a signal from the Fed appears necessary to help spur this market forward, and reverse a lot of negative pressure..

On the other hand, the bearish attitude afoot seems to want the market to tank further..to clear out the deadwood...although I think that without action from the Fed and others, we are headed for a significant drop..

FED will either do the minimum (.25) or nothing, I think nothing, that's what the members are saying. If they do it's just to pacify us, temporally!:o
