Good Morning everybody. The Wife and I are going on a trip today To Biloxi MS and will be back Sunday afternoon, so I won't be posting until then. Yes we are going to a Casino, the Beau Rivage, wish us luck we need all we can get.

Yes, I put a good bit of garlic powder and red pepper flakes and always salt. Used to add smoked Ham Hocks but didn't have any yesterday. Yes I did boil 3 Pounds yesterday!! Always FRESH green no dried green ones.Boiled Peanut pots.jpeg

As far as FRESH peanuts go, I've always had good luck buying from the Hardy's peanut stands. But my last 1/2 bushel bag I bought at Kroger's and I never could get a consistent tenderness...and I ended up boiling them way longer than I ever have. (Still ate 'em though!) Guess I need to hit the peanut stand before they close up shop for the season.

And they shouldn't all be mature with that purple skin on the NNUUT, I love the grey ones.
