Just finished reading "Master The Markets" by Tom Williams. He was a syndicate trader back in the 70's. He explains how the "smart money" minipulates the markets to their advantage and at our expense. The most eye opening investing book I've ever read in my 18 year investing career. It goes for $100 but you can download a pdf version at TradeTheTruth.com (click on their download link) It's 188 pages to print but I believe it's worth it. I'm starting my second read through now. Good stuff.

I would avoid recommending Dave Ramsey.

Then how about Wade Cook? He has published a bunch or books and tapes on investing. He appears to be a friendly guy, and provides for his church and has adopted children. Then again, some say he is a crook and many have lost thousands from his guidance.

i am halfway through "little book of common sense investing" and i am enjoying it, alot of good info, i also suggest it to others.
