JTH was talking about the 1295 level in the S&P and that may be a critical line since we have bounced off it twice this morning. Since 11 the trading has been in a narrow band (1300-1305) with very little volumn. The last half hour of trading will be very interesting.

Another snowstorm here in northeast Ohio. But it pales in comparison to the earthquake and tsunami that Japan has experienced. Hopes and prayers to all the people in Japan.

On top of everything that is going on in Japan the Nikkei lost over 6% today. Europe not doing well right now either. Let's hope the NYSE can keep a positive outlook today. Good luck everyone.

Well the market is open and things are not looking real good. Not telling anyone something they do not already know. Going to be a tough day to be in the I fund. Hopefully the C&S funds won't collapse today.

Well the C&S funds are fighting to move up. I doubt we will see the S&P close above 1305 but I think it will be a victory if it can close near 1300 or just above. Fingers crossed. Good luck everyone.

The market is closed and the C&S funds could have been worse. Pretty much gave back our winnings from Friday. The I fund didn't fair very well. However, with the way the Nikkei closed, just under 2% for the I fund I would say is a small plus.

I would like to thank everyone that comes around and visits my account. I should hit 99,000 views by mid week and get that magic 100,000 sometime next week. The next magic number will be 3,000 posts. Thanks again.

I get this newsletter E-mailed to me. It is called TWICE-This Week In Consumer Electronics. Here is the link to the article.

USPS, union reach tentative agreement
By Emily Long elong@govexe.com March 14, 2011

"The U.S. Postal Service and the American Postal Workers Union have reached a tentative contract that preserves jobs and provides a 3.5 percent pay raise for three years..."

http://www.govexec.com/story_page.cfm?articleid=47328&oref=todaysnews

Now I do not want to step on any toes and I think everyone needs a pay raise to offset inflation but, with the postal service having financial problems and all other federal employees in a two year pay freeze, how can the APWU justify a pay raise? Just curious.
