nasa1974's Account Talk

The last three days really took the wind out of my account. Lost almost 5%.

Today looking at the charts is like looking at a mountain range. All kinds of peaks and valleys. I hope by the end of the day we can climb up onto one of the peaks.

Good luck everyone, we need it.

I hear ya NASA. I considered throwing some more in today but I believe we have a bit more downward action.

So is this market trying to trick us or what?

Short term or will it let us recover our losses from last week?

Took off a half day yesterday to play some golf. Didn't even think about the market. I see this morning that I gained 0.13% on the tracker. Woo Hoo!! Look out Birch I'm coming for you. Yeah right. My golf game stunk but it was nice getting out of the office and being outside for awhile.

Might be a good day. Asia showed promise and most of Europe trading in the green so far. Good luck everyone.

go back to golfing.... don't look...

Here are the numbers for the month of September. I got all this information from the monthly returns pick at

GovernmentExecutive.com

Not sure what will happen in September. The numbers do not look that bad. Last year was profitable and of course 2008 was really bad. However 2004 through 2007 had good numbers. But 2000 through 2003 is pretty scary.

Good luck everyone.

Anybody else having problems staying "logged in"? Today for some reason if I open other websites and then come back to TSP, I have been logged out.

they've been tinkering with it some. I notice it's increasingly laggy after the initial page load, then the buttons finish and you're up and running.
Maybe it is setting browser encryption and session data?
I wonder what has prompted the sudden dramatic upgrade of security?

Are you having the issues on a .gov system?

Doesn't look like I am having issues on any .gov accounts. I logged into my Yahoo Finance account this morning and I haven't gotten kicked off.

Well yesterdays late action washed out the gains from Wednesday. So I pretty much broke even. 3 trading days left for the month so I guess I won't be seeing a positive finish for the month.

Good luck everyone.
