nasa1974's Account Talk

Hey, Nasa !!!

Thought about you this past week...we were in Orlando for a Jimmy Buffett and Eagles concert, and had a day to kill...so we went to the Kennedy Space Center !!! Wife and I grew up in Florida, and said we hadn't been there since the Gemini Program ! OK....maybe a slight exaggeration...

Had a blast !!! Lots of things for the youngsters to do, but plenty of stuff to interest us geezers, too, AND bring back a TON of memories of the space program...

Too fun !!! :D

Stoplight...

Stoplight,

Glad you had a good time. It can take more than a day to see and do everything there. I haven' been back to Kennedy Space Center since the early 90's. I remember seeing the launch pad area for the Mercury launches and was surprised how small it was. It looked so much bigger on TV.

Take care.

Well the market on Thursday and Friday hurt. Sticky pants still on. At least I'm still positive for the month but I have gone negative for the year again. :banghead: At least the gains were better than the losses for the week. Let's hope this week can do better.

Yesterday hurt. Still positive for the month, barely. YTD not looking good and may have to go on life support. Even afraid to cross my fingers for today.

"Ever since the discovery of Pluto in 1930, kids grew up learning about the nine planets of our solar system. That all changed starting in the late 1990s, when astronomers began to argue about whether Pluto was a planet. In a highly controversial decision, the International Astronomical Union ultimately decided in 2006 to call Pluto a "dwarf planet," reducing the list of "real planets" in our solar system to eight..."
