nasa1974's Account Talk

Woo! Hoo! what a finish. What will tomorrow bring? DOW over 13,000? Maybe the S&P closing above 1400? Hopefully the W4500 closing with a new high. Bring it on.

Re: nasa1974 account talk

It is starting to look like it will be a real interesting day. The market really seems to have a mind of it's own. Asia closed out green with the Nikkei up over 1.5% and for now Europe is green with the German market leading the way. Keep your sticky pants near, they might be needed.

Plane carrying marijuana strays into Obama LA airspace

By Steve Gorman | Reuters – 8 hrs ago

"LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A small plane with more than 20 pounds of marijuana strayed into restricted airspace around President Barack Obama's helicopter on Thursday in Los Angeles, prompting U.S. F-16 fighters to rush to intercept it, officials said.
The two F-16s were scrambled from March Air Reserve Base, east of Los Angeles, by North American Aerospace Defense (NORAD) Command officials alerted to an airspace violation "in the vicinity" of Los Angeles International Airport, a NORAD spokesman said..."

Re: nasa1974 account talk

Futures are starting to pull back. NYSE might open on the negative side. Going to be an interesting day for sure.

Re: nasa1974 account talk

Was the pilot's name Tommy Chong? And did they check the plane itself to make sure it isn't made out of marijuana? ;)

Are you staying in over the long weekend? A lot of people are headed for the G I think.

Posted over on bquat's. Yeah I'm staying. Tempted to jump into the I fund because of the Geece meeting Monday. Good news could have a real nice effect on the I fund. But the S fund is performing well. I have 50 minutes to make up my mind.

Been doing taxes all weekend. Thought I would take a break and see what was happening over here. Kind of quiet. :cheesy: Hope everybody that has off tomorrow has a good day.

Every February Yosemite waterfall turns to lava - Yahoo! News

[h=1]Every February Yosemite waterfall turns to lava[/h]By TRACIE CONE | Associated Press

"YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, Calif. (AP) — A window of time just opened in Yosemite National Park when nature photographers wait, as if for an eclipse, until the moment when the sun and earth align to create a fleeting phenomenon.
This marvel of celestial configuration happens in a flash at sunset in mid-February — if the winter weather cooperates. On those days the setting sun illuminates one of the park's lesser-known waterfalls so precisely that it resembles molten lava as it flows over the sheer granite face of the imposing El Capitan..."
