That's Derek St. Holmes singing. He was with Ted back in the mid '70's and did the original studio vocals & played guitar.

Honesty when I saw her in this video I didn't know she was male or female.
In this video she remembered me of Ricky Nelson's sons.
I have a Michael Stipe story. I was in a bar in Athens where Michael was, when suddenly this very nice looking young lady began to dance the dance of the 7 veils in the bar, just for Michael Stipe.
I remember how extremely funny that was at the time. Michael Stipe, of course, had no reaction to her dance whatsoever, nor would he. She looked puzzled, which was even funnier.
It's a great song.
