Accoring to mlk_man's message here, he has been banned for some reason. Well, I don't know all the details but I consider he is one of the contributor here. Hope you may reconsider.

mlk_man was given a couple of days off but as you can see he is posting again. I like the guy and I agree his tracker contributions went beyond the call of duty, but I don't like to depend on someone who acts so unprofessionally while indirectly representing TSP Talk by being The Tracker.

He has little respect for me or the moderators (follow this thread for an example... http://www.tsptalk.com/mb/showthread.php?p=49226#post49226) and he has been banned on two other occassions for similar actions. My patience has run very thin.

If you like his contributions I'd suggest you talk to him because he will keep finding new targets to do battle with, when he is actually his own worst enemy. Unfortuantely for him (and us) you will see just what I mean by his response.

I've complained through private means...but here's my complaint for public comment:

Honestly, how many members are there here? How many actually post? How many don't post because some self proclaimed expert (with no real track record) might respond with a belittling, condesending, or confrontational post?

Obviously "I" can't claim to be an expert....My performance for all to read is too honest on that count. But we have to sit and listen to some others who don't post performance? Who claim expertise?

It's disgusting to sit and watch.

I used to jump in with both feet, swinging as I came!
Then, wound up, wasn't interested in finding a stopping place. The `ignore' button has been a boon - when I finally turned it on for MMate, I continued it's use with the other two. I can read your responses, but not theirs. Saves a lot of Energy on my part!!!

And a lot of `Oh My's!' on yours.

I have tried not to get too involved in the bickering on the board but to act accordingly when I see it. If anyone ever feels like they can't post because they'll be attacked, let me know. I realize some members won't agree with your market outlook and that is up to each of us to defend if we choose, but it's the personal attacks that I am talking about.

I am not trying to take sides but I'd rather listen to someone rambling about economic numbers that that may or may not know what they are talking about (assuming it is not fabricated), then to listen to someone belittle or name call another member. Only one of those breaks the rules.

I would prefer everyone stuck around and respected each other, but I realize it isn't going to happen. mlk has been the most consistent of the "battlers" on the board. If it's not "greggy" or "techy" or fivetears, MT, rolo, wizard, or even me, to name a few, then he will find someone else to go after... relentlessly. We all realize it won't end. Most of us here like mlk but I think he needs a little group intervention here. One of the main reasons I switched to this new message board was because of the requested "ignore member" feature it offered. I have a feeling no one really wants to use it. Some members love the conflict. They look for it. It can be more emotionally satisfying than the OEX put/call ratio. :blink:

Bottom line, mlk still has an account here and is welcome to post. I try to be fair and give people many chances here. But I will continue to do what I have to do when things get out of hand. Most of you have managed to post here for years without coming close to being banned. Why shouldn't we expect everyone to act the same way?

OK OK OK! I will ease up on Sugar but only if she stops with the market analysis and comments on international issues. I cant let her get away with it because it possibly could influence someone. I think the regulars know to discount her but newbies need to be warned. Tom, could a extra-heavy disclaimer be put permanently on all of her posts automatically. It could act like a trademark when she posts.


Dont fear anonymous financial message board posters! Their egos are always bigger than their balances. And I dont really "like" anyone here. I only know their words.

P.S. Tom, With all the abuse I have dished out on Sugar, I am glad you have a waiver for "he League of Mental Defectives."

The read only access was temporary (just over the weekend), but that hole in your head... that's gonna leave a mark.

Okie dokie, here's my response.................see those names? How many of those guys came back under different nics and you didn't believe us? I've been doing what should be an administrators job, albeit, in my own way. I'll say the same thing I told you in e-mail, myself and "Chaplain" were the two best moderators you had here. All we needed was back up..............
