Thanks again all.

Well, after taking a few days off from here and clearing my head, I'm ready to attack this market again. I've been patiently, and stupidly, waiting for it to turn around. I think now might be the time. I just went long yesterday in all my individual stocks except for my gold company. I might sell that one today or perhaps wait until tomorrow and keep it as a hedge against any inflationary comments by the new fed fella. Selling half is probably the most logical because it could drop big tomorrow.

For some reason I thought the retail numbers were suppose to come out yesterday...........:rolleyes: Cost me a few bucks..

Oh well, like I said, I think we'll turn around today so I may go 100% S this morning. If we continue our current decline tomorrow, I'll run for shelter.

Just checked my portfolio and I bought my gold company (RGLD) on Friday near its low at $31.94 and I see that yesterday it closed slightly up even though the gold index (GLD) was down. I'll sell it today if it continues up.
 
Speaking of autos, I'm gonna drive over to 100% S fund this morning. Thought about 50S and 50I, but I hate the I fund.

Come on Benny and the Feds, be gentle...............:)

I'm getting a sell signal after yesterday, but if we are up today, that will most likely change for Monday. I'm hoping we are putting in a bottom here but I just don't know. If you look back to mid-Jan last year, you'll see what I think we are going through. Right now my thinking is to go 50% stocks and 50% G to try to pick up the penny in the G fund while having somethinging in stocks in case we do continue up. Retail sales should be up Monday so I'm hoping for the best. If you are a conservative investor, you might want to wait until we can string together a couple of up days.

I'll wait to see how we start today to make a final decision.

Gonna wiz over to 100% I fund this morning. I'll probably regret it, but hey, the common sense in me says the EFA is down and that the I fund over paid yesterday............:rolleyes:

(1.66) yesterday for the month, and it looks like more rain today.
 
Oh man, I just cracked up. I'm sitting here working on my data with the TV turned to "Entainment Tonight" and they have Dianne Warwick on. She just turned 65 and the interviewer asks her where she gets all her energy from. Umm, isn't she Whitney Houston's cousin............:eek:
 
Just read RevShark's mid-week update. I like him. He's not a perma-bull nor a perma-bear. He seems to be in touch with "reality".

Of course he is my second cousin........:p

The time was 1970. I was a young man in Vietnam. I read a book which I will never forget; it was titled two desperate women. It was about two lesbian cow girls.
I am afraid that cow girls beat the cow boys when it came to grazing in the grass together.
I must have read that book 20 times.
Now thats the movie they should have put on the big screen.
