mlk -
I cleaned things up a bit in your account talk. Sorry I didn't notice earlier.

I apologize to those whose posts were deleted and may have been clean. This is where we talk about mlk_man's account and strategies. Things went a little too astray.

Okay I'm finally jumping back in, been in G fund way too long. Going 100% S this morning. Any chance it'll drop back to 15.50 today? I actually hope not, it may not stop.

Coming with me Tom?

Good luck,

M_M

Is this a short term move mlk? Looks like there is money to bemade jumping in on down days and out on up days. It's that deadline thing that makes it tough - could be way up at the deadline and back to flat by close and vice versa.

I'm thinking the longer pullback is just starting and I doubt I'll play the wiggles - unless the dollar breaks support. Then I may take a shot at the I fund for short term plays.

My current guess is the pullback may not bottom out until late September to mid-October.

Mlk...Tom,
The S fund = IJR iShare came out of a pretty good correction and may be undervalued. However it's only a 8% Buy because of the pressure Oil has on the market (profit). The S&P is basically flat also. Market is refereeing rates, inflation, energy, earnings vs profits. Right now energy has a headlock on profits.
Who will win? Don't know. Whats the risk, short term I'm with Tom, Tekno, & PR. So I set a IFT for 100%G on 8-15. If up, I'll cancel. If dn, I'm out of equities for a while.
Just my 2 cents mlk...but I thought I'd share with you! ;) Spaf

Tom, have you ever known me to do a long term trade? :P

I'm already planning to jump back out on Monday. CPI comes out Tues. and it's forecast to be higher. Of course most of the forecasts have been off lately. Are meteorologists becoming market analysts these days?

Was hoping the S would be down a bit more like the Russell 2000 was today, but I think it's good for the continued bull market that it wasn't.

Thanks for sharing spaf, I don't really know which way the market will go, I'll just try to go with it when it does.

Anybody watch CNBC today with the CEO of overstock.com talking about hedge fund guys shorting their stock? Pretty interesting. Cleared some things up for me about some of the postings I've seen here.......

My prediction for Monday, the S closes about 15.74, oil is down, the dollar is up, and Four Brothers is the number one movie over the weekend. :^

Good luck,

M_M

BTW, when I sent that last message I got an error message. Instead of trying to re-post, you can just hit the back button and copy what you posted to begin with, then hit the message board button to see if your post went through or not. If not, just paste what you had written to begin with and re-send. Helps with the double posts. :^

Oops, just read Tom's post in another thread about making copies before you send. Great minds........:P

Not quite what you had hoped for on the S fund for Monday, but close...:^

Tom
Yepper, 3 outta 4 ain't bad I reckon. The one I hoped for most just happened to be the one thatdidn't hit!

Oh well, it was up so that's a good thing. This is a very scary week with CPI and PPI coming out. Be carelful!

Told ya it would be a scary week!

With the S fund down today, it should put it at about it's 50-day MA so I'll give it another chance to bounce up Friday. I wanted to be in on Friday anyway since it's the end of triple witching week.

Good luck,

M_M

Wait a minute, it's not triple-witching week is it? Oops............

Oh well, it'll be up anyway! :^
