The NIKK took a bath after the Dubi BS. Fell below the 200 sma and the trend is down with the strong Yen and weak Dollar. Japan is really sucking wind now.

Japan took a jump today. I guess Dubi is not that important. What do they owe 87 mil. California owes like 123 mil. Who should be changing their pants?

No kidding! Left coast is doomed, they just don't know it yet. No job creation there, even Hollywood is outsourcing to tax friendly States or Countries.

And, California wants to raise taxes again. Everyone needs to take a note of this. Now lets do all the things that California did on a National scale. See where it leds.

I'm holding steady. I see there is good and bad I see in the market.
Gotta save that one trade.
The big bet is going all in I fund.
Dollar is climbing.

I agree the I-Fund is the biggest risk, but the small caps aren't much of a better choice. If the S&P 500 does rally the I-Fund will follow behind and I believe it will out perform over the longer haul.

This whole dollar thing has me laughing, this market has a short term memory.

You might be right. I just don't want to risk being in the I fund totally with the dollar in this upswing. I am in 30%I

I believe our government and the Fed want to strengthen the dollar before our currency is no longer appealing to investors. That 3 month level I think must be achieved.

How long to get to that point is anyones guess.

Yup, I believe the dollar started to turn when a few countries started bitching about the declining dollar. I think it was last month?

Sorry buddy I can't project that far ahead, I still have much to learn concerning the relationships between the overseas markets, gold and oil.

Here's is what I'm looking for. A higher swing high than the previous 76.49 level follwed by a higher swing low. A test & bounce off the 50 SMA. An upside embedded slow stochostic, and an ADX above 20. If these 5 things happen I will believe the dollar rally has legs.

It may bounce off the 50 DMA, but then head up to the 200 DMA near 80.

The dollar is a very small portion of the I Fund price. How many Irish banks are still on the brink of failure and indexed through the I Fund? Everyone is talking about Dubai yet they are small fries compared to a Barclay's or AIB. The EU is still trying to handle aftershocks from 2008 in BCS and AIB. But, I guess that's why the fine print is at the bottom of every investment. There's always that inherent risk.

I keep my TV on Bloomberg throughout the night, the mood has been rather gloomy, alot of talk about lack of GDP growth. If the dollar turns I may be stuck in G&F till the air clears.

Thanks for the link, I didn't have an intraday Dollar chart. Ouch, looks like my previous swing high has been broken. Thursday my Axial-Drifter put the Dollar on a caution.
