Just starting here at the board had everthing in the C fund untill yesterday and transferd it to the S fund. I’ve been activly watching my account for the past 5 years. Before that I had 34% C fund, 33% S fund, and 33% I Fund.

Welcome aboard!! I'm pretty much a newby as well, but these guys and gals are some great folks. Real good market info here and some good laughs as well.

The insight I have is the EU is more than likely going to be hit hard, as others here have stated. I’m think that after the fall buy I fund. What do you think?

Have no clue when the EURO rebounds, but I do agree we should wait a long time before buying any I-Fund

I don’t think it will be a long time, after Greece, Portugal, and the others go down. The I fund will drop down low. Then it will rebound that’s the time to buy. I’d say within the next six months you’re going to see the European crash or at least take a heavy hit.

I know some folks are playing this on a one-year-or-less time horizon with the ETF ticker EUO that shorts the Euro. Probably not a bad move. Beyond that a lot of these type of ETFs are not meant to be long holds and they get tricky. Train might be leaving the station a little on this one, with a big buy signal in December, but looks like there's still upside.

I had my TSP set up exactly the same way 34% C fund, 33% S fund, and 33% I Fund for years. Joined TSP Talk and went 100% S for the last few weeks. Just went 100% G today, as I feel we are heading towards a correction.

Asia is down, the FTSE is up, and the US market is up across the board. Let see what happens! I do predict that the C and S fund will be up for most of the summer. I’m sticking with the S fund for now.

Hard week I could bail on the S fund or do I stay the course? If I sell I lose 2.46% or I can stay in and hope it recovers. Well the secret to the stock market is sell high buy low, so I think it will recover.

I’m holding fast with the S fund I think it will increase over the summer. The bears are out right now but it will turn around.

Well I was back in positive territory for the year yesterday. Well next week should be better.

I wanted to be in the market today but but did not have an IFT to play with. That worked in my favor. Next week to the moon or else. I'll settle with a gain of 1%.:D
