Properly managed and compensated American and Canadian workers can produce a world class car at a competitive price. Toyota proves that assertion. However, world class workers need world class management. Why blame the victims of greed and incompetence? Enron, WorldCom, Global Crossing, Adelphi...bad workers, powerful unions...I don't think so! Is $70K a year too much to work in a hot, noisy factory? I bet the recently laid off GM white collar workers wished they had UAW, or, better yet, Teamster union brothers.
