Not to take from anyone else but it sounds like you're enacting the Squalebear Method - which hopefully will allow continuous daily moves from safety to high risk.

Is it possible to omit F ? (as that would be my plan)

I think it's a great idea - but exspect the 'nationalization of all banks' and some other near future events to bring the Markets down a whole lot more.

Anyway - GL :)

I'm just using a very small percentage of my balance as a learning tool. I'm risking what I'm comfortable with to just "play." I'm not looking for a bunch of gains or losses...I'm just trying to learn. :)

<1%™ = 88/1/4/4/3 G, F, C, S, I COB 26 Jan 2008 :)

My calculations have me down 0.35 for the month. The tracker has me down 1.07 because I have not been adding my <1%™ moves. :cool:

Don't you just LOVE Squale's <1% idea? It takes time every single day getting your account balance and deciding your moves, but there is a serious payoff. Beats sitting in IFT jail until the end of the month! :)

I was messing around with nasa1974's spread sheet and discovered I made some errors in "my calculations." :rolleyes: I have no idea
how I came up with -0.35...it's more like -0.84. But thats still better than -1.07... :embarrest: :o

Anyway, I hope everyone has a good week.
 
I killed my computer. :(

I was using an Asus A8V board. It takes an AMD64 socket 939.

I have been using regular IDE drives but this board supports SATA so I figured "what the heck?" and bought 2 80 gig Segate Barracuda drives.

I followed the installation instructions in the A8V user guide and installed the drives. But when I hit the power switch nothing happens. I checked all my connections and verified that the drives were installed per the instructions and still nothing. I put it all back the way it was before I started messing with it and still nothing. :(

I killed it. I'm a murderer... :(

Any lights at all? Does it try to start up?
 
The little green light on the board comes on when I plug it in but nothing happens when I hit the on/off switch....nothing.
 
It IS ALIVE!!!

I don't know what I did but I got it going. I took it apart all the way down to taking the motherboard out of the case. Blew all the dust off of it and put it back. Plugged up the power supply and hit the switch and the fan spun up!


YIPEEE!!! :nuts: Saved myself some money. :cool:

:D Good for you Kevin, that must be a huge relief. Plus you feel competant again, thats even MORE important! :laugh:

I've been watching your frustration much of the day today, I decided for myself it was time to finally get my external speakers functioning again. I got a new computer back last spring, traded in the 13-year old model, but couldn't get the speaker situation refigured out. Spent most of the past year trying to understand Poolmans video talkers using speaker on the monitor-so much echo and insufficient volume, I could only get bits and pieces so I've rarely listened. Listening to music on computer not all that satisfying either-one central speaker and volume always inadequate.

Took me over an hour today and lots of plugging and unplugging and replugging different outlets and connections. After going back into the old documentation and looking at the back of the main speaker, I realized I'd mislaid the AC converter and had to go find it where I'd stuck it on a bookshelf after unhooking the old computer. go figure! I finally have clear voice, stereo sound, and loud enough volume for finance videos and great music sound. Life is GOOD!!!! And I feel competant again too. :D
