here is a picture of my white BMW M5 as well with some other friends who are into cars - an 04 viper and 01 550 ferrari ( the black one) - just for the car guys and girls - just can't get it out of my blood. The vette was my dad's who passed away a short time ago - he was on this board as wht00ss - former (and always) a Marine and stockbroker after he retired. I do what everyone hates - law. My mother is a Judge for SSA so I try to give her a hand with her TSP account - learned alot from my dad. Cars are a great big hole in my pocket but what are you going to do??

My next door neighbor is the GM for Luxury Motors in Vegas. He drove up in a Mclaren SLR the other day Everyday it's something new, Bentleys, Lamborginis, Ferraris etc. Must be nice. Haven't seen an Enzo, F40 or a Veyron yet though.

GREAT NEWS for me, my daughters should be home today says she misses her family. I just hope she sticks around this time thanks all for thoughts and prayers, who cares about stock when you have not heard from your child in 2 weeks sure made my day a whole lot better

Wonderful news to share with us today! The power of prayers and hope, never losing trust in His infinite love for all His children, will always work. Like Steadygain suggested, let's just hope that communication and even the non-verbal language is such that you and her become closer. It's a blessing she's back.

I had the same thing.. Took many years before she came back for a visit (This past Thanksgiving) and decided to stay. Realized I wasn't the alcoholic and game player. During the time apart there were many letters, emails and remembering the birthdays etc. Good does triumph occassionally!! The time apart was painful. Hang in there and do what you can to let her know you're there. Eventually, it will be her decision!

I'm really glad she's back my friend. She needed her space and a little time to find herself (she will probably be trying to find herself for years to come - 17 is a hard age), but she came back here and there to give you a hug even when she was gone. I am so happy she is back where she belongs. There is no way that any of her "run around friends" could give her the love and stability that you - her father - give AND THAT IS WHAT SHE NEEDS THE MOST. Thanks for the update - as she has become a big part of our hearts and lives as well. Let's hope things continue to get better.

well we tried 2 different night schools no openings so Thursday she was suppose to go back to day school and show them she is wanting to work with them to get into night program then that night she left again with her sisters phone and new shoes now little sis is pi$$ed and dont understand why she is taking her stuff all i can do is turn the phone off and offer to buy some more fancy nike high tops she will be back i am sure in a few days or weeks just cant worrie there is really nothing you can do thanks Steady just have to believe things will all work out

Things will work out my friend - LOVE has a way of making everything right - and in the end she will come to yearn it more and more. But LOVE does not have to be like someone sobbing and weeping and looking weak - it can very much take on a hard and unbending appearance - yet still be real. Taking her sister's stuff is crossing a boundry I would not allow. She would definately know MY LOVE IS THERE - but there is no way in hell I would let her take my other daughter's stuff.

Will keep you in our prayers KC - this is a tough situation

When she returns again let me know because I'd be glad to reach out and knock her out of her chair. She needs discipline and guidance - love will not work in this situation, sorry. It's hard to be tough but that is what this girl needs - you set the parameters and if they are violated let her know there are going to be repercussions that may involve a certain degree of pain. Encourage her to join the Air Force or the Army so she will be with a different peer group.
