Drag racer Kalitta dies in crash at Raceway Park
What started out as a beautiful day of drag racing on the first full day of summer turned tragic yesterday as veteran driver and two-time Top Fuel champion Scott Kalitta was fatally injured in Funny Car qualifying at the 39th annual Lucas Oil Nationals at Raceway Park. The 46-year-old resident of Palmetto, Fla., was making his final qualifying pass in the fourth and final round of qualifying in the DHL Toyota Solara owned by his father, drag racing legend Connie Kalitta. He came into the session in 20th position, out of the top 16 who would race in final eliminations today. As he was nearing the end of the run, the engine exploded. The parachutes did not fully deploy and his car bounced over the sand trap and netting at the end of the track at nearly 300 mph. a bad weekend in drag racing we lost a champion ,went out doing what he loved i just hope he went fast better than weeks of pain and suffering god speed my fellow brother , i pray for his wife and kids, family we just dont know when it is our time 45,or 46 shoot about my age
Hello F T no i have been busy taking care of step dad and trying to do upkeep on farm i crushed a car friday a little mad money have another car to pick up and a p/u to drag home buy and sell or part out and crush

its tuff with just 2 moves but i rode like a tick till today and took a beaten now maybe you all can make good tomorrow while i am roasting on the g lilly but i will go in july probably S & C i dont want to wait till monday or it will loose one move for july:laugh::suspicious:

While I've always had mine posted COB of the day I got it in (before noon), the TSP Board disclaimer does say it will normally be posted within 2 days -- That would really tick me off if I ended up going into the next month because it did not post COB.... Might be safer doing it as you said, on Friday, but with the mood of the market, I'm keeping majority in G for a while longer.... GL
