kar crazy's Account Talk

KC,
I wanted to say, as an official member of the "zipper club" (me),
I wanted to wish you the best and hopes that you're fully back to normal real soon!
VR:)

(I used nnutt's thread to post this to you, I'm not that familiar on where to post what and in all honesty haven't taken the time to learn all of the MB rules...)

kar crazy,

Hope you are feeling better today. I sincerely hope you bring your stress levels down.

I am a red wine drinker (you know that Mediterranean habit of drinking red wine with meals, it's a wonderful one) and I have been drinking for many years this wine (no more than 2 glasses every evening will keep the Dr away:toung::

CASILLERO DEL DIABLO (MADE BY CONCHA Y TORO, CHILE) their MERLOT ranked up there with the best of the best by Consumer Reports this yr and all of their production including CHARDONAY and CABERNET SAUVIGNON have won international awards and recognition. The soil in some areas of Chile compares to the Burgundy region in France, and the Concha y Toro guys around a century ago went there to get the right grape seeds to make their wines. Another one I like very much is also made by them under the label FRONTERA, a combination of C.Sauvignon/Merlot and is sold by SAM's at $6.99 a ~2 ltr bottle, you cannot go wrong with that (Sam's offering all of CASILLERO DEL DIABLO 3 main wines in a wooden gift case this Xmas, at $21.99/case, all my US and non US friends I introduce to these wines become very loyal to this brand and will not switch red wines anymore, they are hooked for life, especially because they know how good it is for them. Drink good quality red wine, use olive oil on everything you cook, eat lots of vegetables and fruits, and your blood pressure will be like mine: 120/75.

Good luck and let me know how you like it! Salud! Cheers!

You could accomplish the same thing by running 5 miles a day.
Good health to you.:)

Good health to you.

Except that a good example of why that does not always work is Dr. Atkins, he was an active sportsperson, played tennis like a pro, ran and walked like a madman and developed a cardiomyopathy out of two clogged heart arteries. It is very possible his diet did not allow him to drink red wine, and worst than that encouraged him to eat more saturated fat than anything else, cause of a lot of clogged arteries :(
On another note, I am not running now but I know it can do wonders to your knees: meniscus, cartilages and whatever else is involved... just something to think about...

"The connoisseurs may cringe, the snobs may even sob, but the judges have spoken: California's best chardonnay costs less than $3.
Charles Shaw Chardonnay, better known as "Two Buck Chuck," beat hundreds of other wines and was named the top prize in a prestigious tasting competition in California."

If you have a Trader Joe's in the area, check out two-buck Chuck (Charles Shaw). Two-buck Chuck has enjoyed a sort of cult status in CA, and I was thrilled when Trader Joe's finally made it to metro Atlanta. Yea, I know, a two dollar bottle of wine is SCARY, but they're pretty good. Closest Trader Joe's is 30 miles from my home, but worth the trip.

Dennis - you are obviously doing everything right and as long as you keep it going you should be very healthy for years to come. Excellent job my man - you are a real true role model for everyone.

KC - how are the headaches doing?? Were you really in the hospital and what did they do (or say)? Man, I sure hope you're not blown' this off - cause a lot of us are really wanting to nip this in the bud as soon as possible. Anyway - peace man - be cool and keep us posted.

Fog Sailing -you're a good guy man, definately cool - very cool.

I appreciate the kind words Steady...

I hope we all have a good week and may the great spirit of Jimi take us beyond Purple Haze... to the land of Jolly Green..:D:D:D

Thanks KC,
Are you taking any medications yet??
Is your B/P a little better??
And how is the headache??

If you find out any of the results - let us know. The MRI and Ultra Sound should tell us something, but right now I'm like THE 19TH - WHAT THE HELL - I WANT TO KNOW RIGHT NOW. But then again when it comes to things like this I don't have a lot of patience - and you're probably the last one I should be saying this to. So hey relax and chill my friend - I mean really take it easy - cause it's just around the corner. Thanks for the updates.
