JTH's Account Talk

Your reign atop the leaderboard ain't over yet. SPX is putting in flags and penants since Nov, we're in another trading range until this breaks. Could Citigroup actually surprise? Feels like mid Novemeber on the SPX chart.

Thanks, it should make for an intersting month. It wasn't all that bad, I think support held up rather well considering there was some way overdue pent up profit taking.

All systems remain on a buy. Further weakness will likley push the Transport 15 minute chart into a sell, with the other two 15 minute charts not far behind.

on da plane headed to vegas. looks like we put it all on red this morning.

That was one heck of a beating we took in the I-Fund today. It almost never fails, every time I go TDY, my TSP account gets hit.

Anyways, the Big 3 15 minute charts have gone into a sell, so they will exit the C-Fund EOB Thursday and enter the G-Fund. As I've mentioned, this is an experimental system that hasn't been backtested. I also expect the 15 minute version to eventually run out of IFTs due to the short timeframe.

Been too busy to go through the charts, as you might expect we've seen some increase signal strength to the downside. I've mentioned the Axial-Drifter-Long is designed to absorb some pain....

Thank you for your early am post, Jason. That, along with coohand's SS and P3 comments, helped me make a decision I am comfortable with - except that I had meant to leave more in the F fund - but that's okay - I'm not going to wonder if I made the right decision - cuz, unless the Administration decides they need my G fund within the next few days, I feel it is safe!!

You're welcome, sure hoped you saved yourself some money. :)

Well, actually, I know I lost a lot (for me), but don't know how much I saved in that loss!!
I got so excited about being Ahead of the L Income, that I failed to take note of the actual account itself.
But - thanx to nasa's spreadsheet I was able to be blinded by the Big Red Numbers - much more emphatic that just looking at the tsp.gov account page!! ;)

The I-Fund portion of the ADI system has gone back to a sell. However, this system is currently already in the S-fund, so nothing changes.

Two of the Triad's systems are making IFTs 27 Jan.

Axial-Drifter-Long exits the I-Fund, enters the S-Fund EOB 27 Jan.

Axial Drifter-Intermediate exited the I-Fund, entered the S-Fund EOB 18 Dec.

Big 3 Golden Cross 15 Min exited the C-Fund, entered the G-Fund 21 Jan.

Big 3 Golden Cross 60 minute, exits the C-Fund, enters the G-Fund 27 Jan.

Big 3 Golden Cross Daily remains in the C-Fund since 13 Nov.

EOB Tomorrow the ADI goes into the G-Fund. This will be 3 of 5 systems in the G-fund. I'm following my rules so I'm now in the S-fund.

Another ugly day and a lesson in pain tolerance. The SPXA50 shows the number of S&P 500 stocks above their 50MA is testing the November lows. If you've been watching the Triad, you saw the signs coming when the 15 minute Golden Cross exited the C-Fund on EOB 21 Jan.

More pain from the Triad, but I'm patting myself on the back. I've known we would pull back, but I've managed to stay calm thoughout the storm. I've come a long ways since my newbie days in 2007, the important thing is I'm no longer trading on fear and emotion. My ADL system is prepared to take a 6-8% drawdown and that's ok, it's a small number when you apply the bigger picture.

Previously mentioned, the ADI went to the G-Fund EOB today.
