JTH's Account Talk

Do yourself a favor, don’t watch the news, or read the blogs, just look at the charts. The economy & the markets are two different animals and they can operate independent from each other for a period of time. This market loves Obama because he’s responsive to its needs. It’s called a reach-around and it has been working. Price pays…

Amen to that, J! I've been making a bit of coin with my ETFs by simply watching the 5 DMA-20 DMA crosses. I wasn't applying the same technique to my TSP (dumb) and it's been costing me. I've got to pay less attention to blogs and more attention to the tape!

One exception to my rule: your blog is excellent. Keep up the good work!

Lol, thank you, we've both learned a lot, hopefully the newer members can learn from our mistakes. A blog is a great way to stay accountable to your positions. :)

Yeah, but look at that spinning top on your candlestick chart for today. Looks like the bulls don't have complete control.

I love a good fight between the Bulls & Bears. :cheesy:

I agree on the spinner, but we opened higher and it's Friday. Obama needs to give the media whores something good to talk about this weekend, therfore I'd say the the bulls will win :p

Hey gimme a break (says Nel) this market stopped making sense after 666

I love Friday's :D Freaking Coffee, CNBC, and I go on leave for the rest of this month starting Monday!!!! :toung:

Bears, kiss my grits...

Gaped up this morning, then the bears filled the gap, we tested & turned 934 into support. 950 is still a tuff nut to crack...

I love watching price action, it puts the cream in my coffee.

What was once resistance may now be forming support.

Good morning

It was nice to take a few weeks off from the markets and relax. It sure doesn't look as if much happened while I was gone, except to say that this market has been range bound.

welcome back....I was wondering if you were on Vacation....anticipate gleaning from your posts and blogs

Thanks guys

As for my vacation, it was more of a series of compromising family events where we drove through Tex-Anna. Let me tell you it was bloody hot out there and I was more than glad to be back home. The entire family caught the flu, so the last half was a bummer..

For now, my stockcharts.com account expired and I'm waiting for it to be renewed. I'll try to take a fresh unbiased look at the markets tonight to get a feel for what's happening.

I really want to go 100% G today, to reset for the next month, but I don't want to miss out on the potential post holiday action.

Pre-Holiday Effect

Good morning

I love a morning that starts off with a opening GAP up, since it tends to end the day on a positive note. Although I'm tempted to bail to the sidelines, I don't want to use my first IFT falling back to G.

Positive note plus. I'm thinking this is going to end real good today and flat tomorrow going into the holiday which could also start a stampede selloff late tomorrow.
