JTH's Account Talk

I can only hope tomorrow gets me to a positive 2016. First of the month and the end of the week can be tricky. Fingers crossed.

31 March put me to the positive, actually all of March did but I'm marking that one day. :D

I didn't get that win myself, but I'll enjoy it with you, it's always great to end something on a positive note. :)

I'm with you WFE. Today I finally crossed over into positive territory. It's not much, 0.14% but I'll take it. I was looking at my 2015 charts and the last time I was in positive territory was way back in July. This definitely deserves a beer and a shot!!! :D:D:D

Friday got me close to positive territory, -.32%. I was -15+% earlier in the year. So right now I'm pretty happy. Just hope April doesn't throw us a hard slider.

With so many analysts saying that the Central Banks involvement is the reason for the continuing melt up (putting liquidity into the major institutions?)...is there any information regarding this level of market involvement in the past and how long does it continue. It's skewing everything to the point that you I question if I can trust EW, TA, or even the fundamental data in making decisions...The CB's seem to trump everything right now. Any thoughts from the Forum?

There's the problem, you can't make sense from the senselessness...

Good afternoon

On the ALPAFS PnF .25% box scale, the Transports have triggered a Triple Bottom Breakdown.

On the short-term 30 minute chart, SPX busted a red light through my trendline intersections. I would certainly like to see us close within the green trendline today, we'll see what the market offers us.

JTH- what does the triple bottom breakdown in transports mean for YOU today...

Nothing for today, it's just a sign the markets may roll over. on the ALPAFS scale I'm also watching W4500, it has a lower high, just like the Transports did before they rolled over. For the moment, we are still within a trading range, where it would be difficult for me to jump out without more downside conviction. I projected this a few weeks ago, we're encountering some turbulence, trendlines like to be probed and tested, buyers and sellers just need to decide what to do.

To answer your question a second time.

I was fortunate to watch the pre-markets and get home early today, where I was able to watch the markets up to the IFT. I did analyze some stats, where the next few days show weakness, but it's nothing scary. I did contemplate making an exit today, but I didn't feel like it was the right setup, not yet.

Having said that, if I don't like the close today, then I may have to make an IFT early before the markets open. I'll be out of town for a while, and working extended hours, so you might not hear from me until after the Pre-IFT deadlines.

Tough to think this pattern would breakout to the upside. Right when I'm typing this the pattern breaks down...

Couldn't take it anymore. 90% G %5 C and I COB today. Shoulda last Friday. lol

Well, we certainly have made several attempts to breach the recent lows today, if the markets crash tomorrow, you'll look like a genus...

Not expecting a crash, more of a slide. But I'll be on the fence for now. Cheers JTH.
