JTH's Account Talk

Under most circumstances I could post bullish slanted charts and make a convincing case but this isn't one of those circumstances. At this point it comes down to getting the best possible entry within the end of month window. Thus far, I've entered 1.05% below the previous exit, while the previous F-Fund play picked up .60% (with 1.01% MTD) which isn't bad when compared the the G-Fund.

I honestly don't know which direction price will go, with all the whipsaws we've had, the oscillating and momentum indicators have been unreliable for me. I am convinced of one thing, we are close to a breakout/breakdown and I'm expecting something in the 5-10% range over the next 2 weeks. Will time prove me right, not likely...

JTH,

Do you think today is the start of your predicted 5-10% breakout/breakdown? w4500 is up a cool 1% right before IFT deadline.

I don't like to think, it tends to jinx things, all I can say is I put my money where my mouth is...

Boy oh boy, 1899.95. Missed it by .05. There is still time left.

Gutless me ejected to G Fund effective today and will draw interest until June 1st. There is no shame in selling for a profit too soon. I have to say that to make myself feel good.

We've punched through 1896, who's ready for 1900...

Why I didn't bail?

I tried to:

TSP made me change my password the day before, I didn't enter the new password correctly 3X, and boom - missed the deadline. Hope the historical pattern holds (70% chance of gains for the 2 days following this holiday).

And yes, my half-hearted jump into S-fund was another follow-the-leader move (JTH jumped in the day prior). Economic signals stunk....but hey....if the market is going to move solely on the basis of sovereign wealth fund managers playing golf instead of trading, I'll take the coin. It may be time for a short breather anyway.

I'm not losing too much ground to the (birch)tree dwellers and the like - north of 2% for the year; and in the top 300. Could be, and has been, worse for me.

Some time ago, I was giving this guy crap because he was spouting off winning ratios of 80-90%

At the time, my winning ratio was 70% and I felt his stats were a bit exaggerated, so I called him out for being full of himself. A short time later, a fellow forum member sent me a PM and and kindly explained his stats were indeed true (but you have to be quick). Afterwards, I set aside my own preconceived notions of what I thought this arrogant SoB was saying and listened to the substance behind the ego. Long story short, even though I am not a member of his premium service, through his countless videos I've been able to gleam many grains of truth. Within TSP we cannot trade within his timeframe, but while there are many You-tubers out there, few offer anything of consequential value, IMHO you'd be served well to be listening to what this guy has to say.

I myself never miss a video, not in the morning, not in the evening and not over the weekend.
