I can't find it either. I did see one at my work that said that check would be sent out in order of the last two numbers of your SSN. That starting date was July 20 somthing so I think it was a left over from the 2001 rebate. I just checked out IRA.gov and all they have is "starting in May".

I (and many others here) will take our check and pay $4.00 / gal for gas, which in turn goes back to the Oil Barons and the OPEC nations.

What THEY do with it is beyond me, however, I suspect they'll have more money to influence our Congress and have more tax breaks headed their way. :blink:

How to use the rebate

As you may have heard the Bush Administration said each and every one
of us would now get a nice rebate.

If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China.

If we spend it on gasoline it will all go to the Arabs.

If we purchase a computer it will all go to India, or Taiwan.

If we purchase fruit and vegetables it will all go to Mexico, Honduras, and Guatamala.

If we purchase a good car it will all go to Japan and Mexico.

If we purchase useless crap it will all go to Taiwan and none of it will help the American economy.

Now, it's clear that we need to keep that money here in America. That's what the money was intended for- for the everyday American, to help stimulate the American economy.

So it's clear. There is only ONE WAY that the "Stimus rebate" check is going to help our economy.

The only way is to keep that money here at home.

And the only way to do that is...buy hookers and beer, since those
are the only businesses still in the US.
