FAB1 Account Talk

My Goobermint Komputer says NO to "games" which it thinks the flash spider is applicable to.

Q: When will the C fund start to outperform the S fund?

A: Aint happening, you should have stayed in the S fund

Be patient young man - the times they are a changin. I firmly believe it will happen and I'm prepared if it does. These changes take time to develope.

GUCHI,

The I fund is composed of large cap stocks and will indeed outperform IMHO - the companies in Europe are a proxy for the growth in the emerging markets. It's all based on their exports. The C fund and the I fund are my strategic plays for 2011.

I dunno yet - 2009 the I fund was super...2010 was definately the Year of the S Fund, but that may not carry over to 2011.

THis is one of those days where my 10% I fund may just serve to only eat into my C profits (if we hold profits that is)

Okay .... Arkansas steamer bean

Im not getting the reference

Does it have something to do with the Klintons - like an Arkansas Dirt Nap? : P

I remember one sickening morning (sickening b/c I was locked out by TSP limitations) that the I fund jumped like 6%.

I dont like to think about it.

A heavy dose of data has not really done anything to prop them back up. Durable goods orders for November fell 1.3%, which is worse than the 1.1% decline that had been generally expected among economists polled by Briefing.com. The worse-than-expected reading comes after overall orders for October fell 3.1%. Excluding transportation, durable goods orders increased 2.4% in November. They were widely expected to increase by just 0.8% after they fell 1.9% in the prior month. Personal income for November increased 0.3% while spending increased 0.4%. Increases of 0.2% and 0.5%, respectively, had been expected. Personal income in the prior month had increased 0.4% while spending had increased 0.7% in the same time. Initial jobless claims for the week ended December 18 totaled 420,000, which is in step with the 424,000 initial claims that had been expected. The latest initial claims tally is down just 3,000 from the prior week. Meanwhile, continuing claims fell 103,000 from the prior week.

If there was an opportunity to get out today per the SS I passed it up

Going to gamble that things will hold up until Jan because I have no more transfers this month and want to be in come 2011.

You'll be fine FAB, you'll be fine...

This market is slowly melting up as da'Boyz pad their portfolios. Bond holdings were so last year...

I wonder

If there is a noticable blip in the markets when a lot of TSPer's bail like today? ; )

Speaking again of bailing - - 164 TSP posters have parked their accounts. Over 200 up to 50% in safety.

I expect more sideways movement today and a Big Bang on Tuesday.

Sorry fab, didn't see your reply until today. An Arkansas steamer bean is a turd.... yeah, that's right. Remember the original Jackass movie when Johnny went into the Korean restaurant? Hilarious!

BTW, what do you mean big bang tomorrow?

what do you mean by Big Bang?

Hopefully, a nice Monday on a Tuesday sorta thing.

The opposite of a Big Flop. :D
