Ebola Globalization

I think it's going to be government policy to protect airline profits and not people (the only reason they let flights in from a country with a flew blown out of control Ebola epidemic) if so, then we should force everyone who wants to fly here to sit in quarantine for 21 days to make sure the disease doesn't spread on US soil. Why wait until they are here? :suspicious:

I'm flying to Mexico next week. Maybe I'll get a mask to wear on the plane?

I always travel with a bottle of hand sanitizer and use it often, no matter who or where I touch..

Ignoring me ?..Fine..

Paradise lost...

Ebola fears quarantine man in Hawaiian hospitalA man is being held in isolation at a Honolulu hospital over concerns he may have the Ebola virus, the Hawaii Department of Health said Wednesday.
The unnamed patient, who has yet to be tested for the virus responsible for a deadly outbreak in West Africa, is being treated at Queen’s Medical Center. If he tests positive, it would mark the second confirmed case of someone diagnosed with Ebola in the U.S.

Just heard on the Michael Savage radio show that there is a possible Ebola infected person at the Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City Utah. I hope not!. Also said there will be a press conference later on this afternoon. Close the Borders NOW!

This Hawaii case is a non issue, as I believe the man tested NEGATIVE. Click above link and you'll see story was updated.

Our government is doing it again, being STUPID!

What, you're blaming who? Texas State Gov't?

Wasn't the "stupid" thing LOCAL HOSPITAL OFFICIALS failing to follow protocol and letting patient go after he announced his symptoms and stated he just got back from Liberia? Didn't the local Texas doctors initially let him go home and did not even admit him int the hospital.without immediately contacting CDC?
It was 2 days later that the patient came back and they finally followed proper protocol.

From: http://www.foxnews.com/health/2014/09/30/cdc-confirms-first-case-ebola-in-us/

...“[The patient] had no symptoms when departing Liberia or entering this country. But four or five days later on the 24th of September, he began to develop symptoms,” said Frieden.

The patient, who was in the U.S. visiting family in Texas, initially sought care on September 26, but was sent home and was not admitted until two days later. He was placed in isolation at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, where he remains critically ill, according to Frieden....

Who is the blame for taking no real action to protect the USA, two guesses!

FWM, would you be this... (pick synonym of ignorant of your chosing, since I can't think of a nicer way to say this) if this would have happened in your beloved state of California?

Or is it because it happened in Texas, that you are so... nevermind.

I wish I had your faith (used purposefully) in the US Government as then maybe I wouldn't be so worried about the stupidity abundant in our current State of affairs...

SALT LAKE CITY – Health officials said they are investigating a possible, yet highly unlikely, case of Ebola at Primary Children’s Hospital.
Primary Children’s said it is unlikely the patient has Ebola however officials are taking this opportunity to test the emergency plan they have been working on to provide maximum protection to staff, patients, families and the greater community.

Officials said they admitted a patient who has symptoms raising concerns about Ebola.
The symptoms mixed with the patient’s recent travels to Africa concerned doctors.
Dr. Andrew Pavia with Primary Children’s said the probability of the patient having Ebola is extremely low however the patient has been isolated.
The Utah Department of Health said it does not believe this is a realistic case of Ebola in Utah so it is not investigating who could have had contact with the patients at this time.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are running tests to confirm the Utah patient does not have the virus.
Doctors with the hospital said rumors were circulating and they wanted to make sure Utah residents had the facts and were informed.
