None of the "whopping" 2 patients had symptoms until they came back to the US. The only mistake was done by local Texas doctors not admitting a patient and sending him back home.

But given your "anti government" (aka anti yourself) vitriol, what did "Thu Gubmnt" do wrong, in your opinion? Should they have had fighter jets shoot down his plane as it approached the US because a person with no Ebola symptoms was coming back from Africa???

But FYI...when they were bringing infected doctors back to the US for treatment I whole-heartedly supported that no matter if it were in CA (those doctors were cured without incident or further spread).

My favorite and less crowded with kids..Was Playa Del Carmen (Copacabana resort) Be sure to do the ferry over to Cozumel while you're there..it's worth the day trip for the snorkeling there, since you are into water sports.. I hope for good weather for ya..

First, I am limited government, not anti-government... big difference, but you wouldn't know that since you are big government, the bigger the better (aka 1984)

Question remains unanswered...what was it you felt the gov't did wrong on the (Texas) Ebola case?

I was under the strong impressiion that "The Private Sector" screwed this one up (Hospital which released him into the public after he came in with symptoms and explained he just came from Africa).

dude, too funny! i've actually seen a bar fight between a travelling construction worker and a gentleman wearing a bolo tie and that's about what it looked like when it was over. apparently he did not approve of his wife getting that kind of attention. she didn't seem to mind a bit though, hence the fight i guess.

Actually, that is one of the primary responsibilities of the United States surgeon general. There’s just one problem: Thanks to Senate dysfunction and NRA opposition, we don’t have a surgeon general right now. In fact, we haven’t had a surgeon general for more than a year now — even though the president nominated the eminently qualified Dr. Vivek Murthy back in November 2013.
The lack of a surgeon general is now becoming more than just one more abstract example of government gridlock.
