Ebbnflow's Day-to-Day Chart / MAR'07

For what it's worth:

............FRI..MON..TUE
C-fund....

S-fund....

I-fund.....

System using the ebbtracker's I-fund with cross-checking rules:

a) Two or more stop signs = safe haven (G/F-fund).
b) Two or more dollar signs = stocks (I/S-fund).

Following the above rules, I'm on the F-fund for Friday/Mar. 30 (3 stops). The I-fund for next Monday/Apr. 02 (2 greens). And it's the G-fund for Tuesday/Apr. 03 (3 stops).

Ebb, when I click "spinnchart" at the bottom of your post, it doesn't go to the most recent chart.
Looks to still be pointing at last chart "tues, wed, thurs".

Can you please esplain your statement regarding the TSP Director further?
It was just a joke.
On Tuesday, AGG went down, but the F fund went up.
On Wednesday, MSCI_EAFE went down .253% while the I went down only .129%.
According to the guidelines for FV as explained by 350, there should have been a FV play on Tuesday but there wasn’t.
i.e. Ebb caught a few breaks, and is doing an outstanding job. :) :) :)

Sorry about that, jlpost. I forgot to change the link from my signature. Fixed. :)

I noticed this too? How does the EbbTracker predict seemingly (this week) random "adjustments"? Maybe the new TSP director does use the EbbTracker...
:notrust:

Best guess, this is the end of a fiscal timeline; quarter, semi, or annual, and the TSP is correcting the books along with operating expenses. :suspicious:

Got lucky guys, but they really screwed people who bailed out of the I-fund Wednesday. They sure don't like us doing a lot of IFTs and maybe we could expect more phantom FVs in the future. :(

End of month summary:

-- regular C-fund +1.09% / ebbtracker's C-fund +2.99% (in stocks 11 of 22 days or 50%) --
-- regular S-fund +1.09% / ebbtracker's S-fund +1.33% (in stocks 13 of 22 days or 59%) --
-- regular I-fund +2.57% / ebbtracker's I-fund +3.00% (in stocks 15 of 22 days or 68%) --

-- System using the ebbtracker's I-fund with x-checking +5.55% --
-- System was exposed to stocks in 13 of 22 days or 59% --
-- System was correct in 15 of 22 trades or 68% --

New thread for April is now open. :)

About those pet food recalls, I read somewhere that the contamination was traced to China. Is there any connection with the tariff on paper...nah, never mind. China, you done killed a lot of our pets, so it's time to pay the piper. :D

I heard on TV (don't remember if it was CNN or FOX), that there is some wheat germ from China being used as a base for pet food. I don't know if this is true and have not seen any follow-up. It concerns me to not understand what is driving these companies to use chinese foodstuff? It used to be that the U.S. had the highest quality controls in all industries. Is this again a matter of lower costs of production?:suspicious:

That was my thought - why are we importing wheat gluten from China? Aren't we growing enough wheat here? And, if the dog food supply can be so easily adulterated, how hard would it be for the Chinese to do the same to human foods. I can only assume the US government uses stricter standards for us humans, but knowing how the government works, I'm doubtful.

I think your right. If you notice companies are looking for lower cost in materials, production and etc. Yes, the U.S. at one time had the highest quality controls in all industries but due to cuts in personnel and do just about anything to increase profits. From what I read the germ kills cats more that dogs. I hope we haven't dropped the ball and included this mess in our own food.:notrust:

Also remember we export a lot of goods that cost more to other countries while the same type of goods are imported at a cheaper cost.
