DreamboatAnnie's Account Talk

*ok...decided to stay put. HopeI don't regret it and have to kick myself again....dang ...couldI be gettin used to it????

DBA,
Well, on the bright side, at least you're flexible enough to kick yourself....me, I can only bang my head on the wall. :banghead:

New year, new start! Best wishes for us all in life, love, health and financial success !

Happy New Year! 🍾🎉

like your Lincoln quote, here is another. Enjoy!

I see in the future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country. Corporations have been enthroned, an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until the wealth is aggregated in the hands of a few and the Republic is destroyed. - Abraham Lincoln letter to Col. William F. Elkins... Nov. 21, 1864

Exited to leave only 25% in stocks (15%C and 10% S). Just had to reduce exposure. Had call at work... Barely made it. Likely exit fully tomorrow. Slow Sto starting to point down just a tad.... But it could go up further. But I am done for year...gradual exit to limit risk some.

BestWishes to everyone on your Investments!!!!!!!!!

Thx for sharing that quote Valkyrie... I love it, and love the quotes by DBA's and KK's posts too.

FYI: I am a couple years from retirement and conservative with my TSP IFTs; not gaining or losing much (bad-ish timing this year); so w/ rally last week and yesterday I'm about +0.5% total for TSP in last 12-months, & mostly in G-now. Besides tracking my TSP, I'm just starting to try Swing-Trading with Robinhood. Wish me luck as I wish success for y'all; Happy New Year.

Moved to Lily pad -100%G with about 3% for year. Probably lost about .70 yesterday/today, but planned to be out in Jan. Puerto Rico may rear its head and oil...oil...oil! Likely stay out a few weeks.

Best Wishes to you all!!!!!!

Its official now. Ended year at 3.08%. I am very thankful as it was a tough year, But still can't help being a little disappointed. But putting it all aside.... looking forward to 2016!!!

Lessons Learned:
--External news matters (China, oil, FOMC, Greece)
--Options expiring in certain months on 3rd Friday of month can have large impact (i.e. August and December drops)
--Prices tend to go up a couple days before FOMC (try to take advantage of that)
--We are in Downtrend-don't forget it! Use that strategy until technicals prove otherwise. Trust in yourself and execute!!!

Best Wishes to everyone on your Investments!!!!!!!!

2015 Full Year daily chart - S Fund (DWCPF)

Note: 20 SMA (represented by BB mid-point/dotted line) dropped under both the 50 & 100 EMA in July. The 50 dropped below 100 EMA in August. None of this has changed to this point.

Maybe better to exit when Slow Stochastic hits above 80 and consider staying in only as long as MACD is very strong with good breadth above its signal line. Seems tough to stay in more than a few days. This market is just very volatile, brutal and so very unpredictable/unstable. The 10, 20, 50 moving averages are below 100MA....and likely 200. It is very high risk to even stay in when 20 crosses below 50 IMHO. So when these conditions exist (as will likely continue) can get in on down swing for a few days but dont expect higher high....well at least not until there is an actual change in market trend.

Best Wishes to Everyone on your investments!!!!!!!!!

Daily charts

Neither S fund or C fund has yet to hit below 20 on Slow Stochastic, setting at 14/3. Bollingers still angled downward as well as the BB midpoint (= 20 Simple moving average). The 20 SMA below 50 EMA, 50 EMA below 100 EMA on DWCPF while those 3 are nearly converged at about the 20 SMA on SPX. MACD crossed below its signal line. Waiting for entry. Trying to be patient...have full month to pick my single entry.

Best wishes to you on your Investments and Good Evening!!!!!!!!
