Police love giving tickets to sports car owners, based on past experience. Now that I drive a truck, they don't ever stop me.
Gotta agree with you there JKJ... When I had the 1992 Camaro with very dark tint, I was stopped several times for no reason at all.... especially at night. They were just wanting to know who was in that car at midnight. Interesting. Told me I had a tail light out... got home... not tail light out. No warning or ticket... they just wanted to know who was in the car and where I had been.

In other cars.. no problem.

Thanks to all of you for the very nice compliments!!! I am really enjoying the car. Every time I walk up and see it to get in, it brings a BIG smile to my face and moments of happiness. I neglected to take my baby to be washed yesterday (worked late), but I am going to take good care of him today.

I know material things can't make anyone truly happy like true love, but I will take what I can!

I sincerely hope you are all having a joyful day--- and Best Wishes to everyone on your investments!!!!!!!

Be glad its not red. Most red sports cars come with a ticket book. Already paid! Just tear out one and hand it to the nice officer and keep moving!:D

Yup, LOL. Appearance means a lot to LE.

Bought a red and white ’81 mustang. 4 banger, automatic, CA specs. Produced about 28HP. I mean if you floored it in N or P it wouldn’t even rev quickly. Got stopped a lot in that car. Took it to Scotland and was warned by the local PC to keep my velocity at the law. He was impressed by the 2.3L engine. If only he knew.

Bought an Escort GT when I returned to the states. (local Ford dealer wanted the mustang badly for some reason) Cute, plastic cladding, four banger and not fast. It was red. Got stopped a lot. No tickets or reason ever given.

Gave that to my kid and bought a 91 GMC Sonoma 4.3 auto. Fastest thing I’d owned in a while. Cruise all day at 95 and burn rubber when shifting to second at half throttle. Never got stopped while driving it.

Possibly some truth to profiling pertaining to vehicles?

Enjoy the Challenger DBA.

They don't stop anyone around here... If you want to speed, come to Hampton Roads, VA... the locals and State Troopers don't care... as evidenced by the lack of police stops and all the speeders... Anecdotal of course ;)

Bravo...hopefully they're busy trying to solve unsolved crimes, etc.

DBA,

Very nice car...Just don't wear your leather pants on those seats - you know, the black and red ones you wore dancing to Thriller?...seriously though, we have a 2014 with those 20 inch graphite wheels at work (was an SES car), be prepared for sticker shock when it comes time to get new tires and NEVER, NEVER curb those wheels...they are not cheap and crack (at least ours has twice) fairly easy.

Enjoy that car in your nice Texas weather...it's getting cooler every day in Illinois. Have a great weekend!

hummm.... Think I am missing a word... Thanks for the tip!! It is very appreciated!!!

I've been pretty careful to avoid curbs and stuff in the road....so far. Yep...weather here is still hot...can't drive with the moonroof open yet, but maybe in a couple more weeks... In the morning.

I LOVE ERUPTION!! And You Really Got Me Now! Van Halen just finished their N American tour. I could kick myself for not going to see them last month here in Texas. David Lee Roth singing. Eddie...WOW! WOW! WOW! His playing is incredible.

Oh Baby!!! Crystal clear notes... blasting on stereo to infinity...priceless!! :D
Heard Van Halen songs quite a bit this weekend.

Live -March 2015 -Jimmy Kimmel show

Live in N. Carolina -9-11-2015 -Eruption only

I think that Van Halen is truly one of the best guitarist EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He innovated arppegios into a new form...a guitar genius and in his own way as great as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Steve Ray Vaughn, and Jimmy Page.

Definitely agree. Until Van Halen came out, I'd never heard arpeggiatic harmonics. Maybe it was around but at my young age at that time, I'd never heard it. It was such a new incredibly cool sound--we were all raving! The riffs were beyond belief and I'd never heard anyone play guitar that fast. Every boy I knew who played guitar wanted to be Eddie Van Halen. I just wanted to marry him! :D

I've only seen them once, but want to see them again. Hummm.....I think they are in Canada in 2016.

Interesting. I have never heard anyone refer to a car as a "him". I guess it makes since, as you are female. Just never heard it.
