Charts before noon cutoff. Awesome skyrocketing prices. I am staying out... just too high, hitting upper Bollinger bands. S fund never did drop below its MACD signal line and has been positive since early November. C fund did drop below its MACD signal line last week but has resumed upward two days ago as did the I fund ( i missed marking that on charts but will the next time I post). F fund looks good too--and TNX yields look poised to continue downward which will be good for F fund.

DB I know I haven't posted anything in forever and this is not part of the thread; but since you're a big fan, thought you'd be equally excited -
my wife got tickets for her and I to the Van Halen, Journey, Heart concert at Hershey Park Stadium this July. Gonna be awesome!

Hi MMK, I just heard about this concert a few days ago. That is so awesome! I would love to see them again and glad to hear that Ann and Nancy are back touring together. Humm... Hershey park stadium... sounds like that is in PA. Would love to see Journey as I have not seen them in quite some time (80s). Not too sure how Van Halen will do without Eddie (RIP) but the music lives on. I have been wanting to see as many of the musicians from my generation (before they stop touring or pass on). I heard the Rolling Stones are touring in 2024... wow! I last saw them in the mid 90s. Would be nice to see them again.

Recently, I saw Ann Wilson with Tripsitter. It was a great concert. Surprise...I was accompanied by Ravensfan. Great guy! We also saw Peter Frampton a few weeks ago (one of my favorites and hands down a fantastic concert--GREAT GUITAR playing!!), and earlier this year saw Foreigner and Loverboy. I am starting to act like a teenager going to all these concerts. It's good to hear our favorite musicians and stay young at heart! Best wishes to you and hope you enjoy that concert!

P.S. At end of Peter Frampton's concert, he said he may continue touring as long as his illness allows (losing hand and body movement capabilities). He said he was feeling good--likely more dates coming in 2024. He played great. He did sit throughout the concert but wow that SMILE was awesome and he spoke and shared quite a bit. His beautiful soul shines through! Check out his old guitar.. from Humble Pie days.. (woo.hoo. had 2nd row in the center, got lucky as a new date opened right when I was looking). He is older like all of us... BUT still handsome as ever! Rock on Baby! Got to hang with two very handsome men that night... lol... lucky me!

Charts before noon. I am likely going to reduce my exposure today... yes. Yesterday, I entered knowing the market is high... as I think Santa came early and I missed that entry. I think I got lucky that there was a drop in afternoon for a lower buy in, but based on charts, I think it is starting to wane. I would like to pocket a little of this up day. C fund looks like it is cresting and S fund is starting to turn????... I fund and F fund look okay so far.

Yep. I reduced my exposure from 50% to 25%... now at 75%G-15%S-5%F-5%I fund. Best wishes to all!

What I did was dropped out of C and cut my S fund allocation in half.

Hi Ranger Ray, Seems my feet are cold a lot more as I get closer to retirement. Definitely considering leaving TSP to invest outside where there is more opportunity to invest. Starting to look for place to move ...hummm...the IFT limits and time lapse from noon to market close are a killer.

Several of us have developed cold feet.

You are not alone. Rough year for me. I could have done a lot worse I suppose, and at one point was negative, but I know I could have done a lot better. I will be going back to the chalk board on my strategies for 2024.

had some ups and downs myself - everyone has at some time (active trader or no). I think one key is not picking the "right" strategy but sticking to a strategy and not trying to jump back and forth as soon as the "other side" looks greener.

one thing... don't look back. Regret will eat at you. But do try to learn from past mistakes. Isn't that the trick ;-)
