Dollar Heads for Worst Quarter Versus Euro in More Than 2 Years

Sorry, this is not paranoia, it's more like a LRRP mission. 4 have been outed - only 36 more to go. It's not personal or a vendetta - only righteousness. I'll refrain from any profanity, though.

Oil production on the decline
By Carola Hoyos in London
December 6 2005

Nearly three years after the US-led invasion, it has become painfully clear that those who predicted that political instability would delay any decision on a national oil policy and that violence, often directed against the industry, would leave big international oil companies unwilling to send their personnel to Iraq, were those who got it right.

Iraq’s oil industry has gone backwards since the fall of Mr Hussein in the spring of 2003. Oil production is barely more than 2m barrels a day, a far cry from the 3.5m b/d Iraq pumped before the first war with the US in 1990 and the level industry analysts thought the country could again achieve within a couple of years of the war ending.

The latest figures show Iraq produced 1.24m b/d in November, the lowest level in a year. Iraq’s capacity to produce oil appears to be declining, possibly because its southern fields are being driven too hard and damaged by officials keen to compensate for losses to production from the north, which has been hampered by frequent sabotage.

--------------------------

If I remember correctly, not only were U.S. oil companies salivating over the prospects ofredistributing (pilfering) another country's resources, but there were also 'humanitarian' justifications thrown out that some of the proceeds of oil sales would be used for 'rebuilding'. Now that this is turning out to be an illusion bearing no semblance of reality...who is going to pay for 'rebuilding'? And, what economic impact, if the U.S. Gov't chooses to rebuild, will that have on the American taxpayer? Will economists all jump on board excitedly talking about how the 'rebuilding' will be a boon to LOWES and HOME DEPOT, as they did and are doingwith the on goingKatrina clean up? If destruction is so good for the economy, why not have more of it? Or is that the plan, in its formative stages, regarding IRAN?

I think the idea of tearing stuff up as being 'good' for the economy is on rather shaky ground at the moment. Let me be quite frank. True and enduring wealth is not created via destruction or mayhem. Wealth can be appropriated in this fashion, but not created. Misappropriation is not an enduring form of wealth and the more misappropriation taking place is symptomatic of a declining civilization or culture.

Yo Quips.....

Because I will get the job done right and the Iraqis who want a good life will thank me for it........my family in the past was very feared by their countries enemys for what they could do ....for their country, and that ability and attitude is handed downgeneration by generation.........

When I'd get finished, I'll come see if you have any self-respect as you look in the mirror at yourself every day.....

The question you should ask yourself is......DO you have any value to others at this stage of your demeanor??? I think not.....people with that kind of attitude are worthless to their neighbor and really need to think about it.....or go live in the cesspool with the scum....

Wimpy:

I have no concern over our economy being savaged by squander and debt; after all, America became the world's leading economic power rather late. Our country first took up that leadership after World War II, although some would go back in history to World War I. In any event, that leadership occured in the early to middle 20th century.

Before we ascended to that position, it was the British. So the Brits lost that position to us; and few would say that their standard of living has suffered that terribly as a result.

America was no economic power after the Revolutionary war ... and was no economic power for the next 150 years.

I would like to know of a history book that chronicles the economic decline of an empire/nation and how it affected its people and its system of governence.

Well Technician it is like this: I served my time in the military to protect and defend skank like you and yours, and if I have to do it again I probably would.

Hey Folks,

Just to change the subject slightly.....here's a few "better" ways to "Tick People Off" heh heh :D:

HOW TO TICK PEOPLE OFF (While waiting on the Market to DO SOMETHING!!)

  1. Leave the copy machine set to reduce 200%, extra dark, 17 inch paper, 99 copies.
  2. In the memo field of all your checks, write "for sexual favors."
  3. Specify that your drive-through order is "TO-GO."
  4. If you have a glass eye, tap on it occasionally with your pen while talking to others.
  5. Stomp on little plastic ketchup packets.
  6. Insist on keeping your car windshield wipers running in all weather conditions "to keep them tuned up."
  7. Reply to everything someone says with "that's what you think."
  8. Practice making fax and modem noises.
  9. Highlight irrelevant information in scientific papers and "cc" them to your boss.
  10. Make beeping noises when a large person backs up.
  11. Finish all your sentences with the words "in accordance with prophesy."
  12. Signal that a conversation is over by clamping your hands over your ears and grimacing.
  13. Disassemble your pen and "accidentally" flip the ink cartridge across the room.
  14. Holler random numbers while someone is counting.
  15. Adjust the tint on your TV so that all the people are green, and insist to others that you "like it that way."
  16. Staple pages in the middle of the page.
  17. Publicly investigate just how slowly you can make a croaking noise.
  18. Honk and wave to strangers.
  19. Decline to be seated at a restaurant, and simply eat their complimentary mints at the cash register.
  20. TYPE IN UPPERCASE.
  21. type only in lowercase.
  22. dont use any punctuation either
  23. Buy a large quantity of orange traffic cones and reroute whole streets.
  24. Repeat the following conversation a dozen times.
    "DO YOU HEAR THAT?"
    "What?"
    "Never mind, it's gone now."
  25. As much as possible, skip rather than walk.
  26. Try playing the William Tell Overture by tapping on the bottom of your chin. When nearly done, announce "No, wait, I messed it up," and repeat.
  27. Ask people what gender they are.
  28. While making presentations, occasionally bob your head like a parakeet.
  29. Sit in your front yard pointing a hair dryer at passing cars to see if they slow down.
  30. Sing along at the opera.
  31. Go to a poetry recital and ask why each poem doesn't rhyme.
  32. Ask your co-workers mysterious questions and then scribble their answers in a notebook. Mutter something about "psychological profiles."

I know you well enough Technician to spot a phoney:

take that ribbon decal off the trunk of your car and try doing some push ups and work that belly off rather than just feeding your face and crying for more tax cuts.

do your part to conserve gasoline and car pool or take rapid transit rather than giving your money to those in the Middle East and those who profit extraordinarily by it; those who think nothing of using American lives as cannon fodder much less providing them with thereins.

Your reins simply illustrate just how much you don't know about sacrifice or subordination.

You speak like a typical chicken hawk.

I don't have a decal on my car, except one to get in the Base gate....At over 6'6" and 275 lbs it doesn't sound like I'm a fat pig....

"do your part to conserve gasoline and car pool or take rapid transit rather than giving your money to those in the Middle East and those who profit extraordinarily by it; those who think nothing of using American lives as cannon fodder much less providing them with thereins."

I do carpool....I work with others who do go over to the beach, as well as I have put my safety on the line......and I do have a belt in martial arts just for that reason.....

"Your reins simply illustrate just how much you don't know about sacrifice or subordination."

Or you don't know about what reins can do.....

"You speak like a typical chicken hawk."

Hmmm, you just don't know me do you......

Anything else you want to spit out of your all knowing mouth.....

"My personal opinion for the reason we invaded Iraq is that Iraq was openly conversing about switching out of the dollar and in to the Euro, as it related to their oil sales."

W, you may be right. It looks like the US Army has plans for a fairly large presence in Iraq for some time, even if we do hand political control back to the indigenes. We pour a lot of concrete over there.

I'd say weproposeto use this force as a club to wave over the heads ofother states in the region, to keep them in line, and to keep outsidersfrom butting in. In this case it would switch from a tactical, everyday role to a strategic, long-term role such as we did in Europe. "The spice must flow." That sums up the geostrategic logic.

BothDMA andMT rarelywrote a complete sentence, one with subjects and predicates.Thismakes them easily recognizable.

It is amazing to me how americans never take responsibility for their actions. Before the war began Americans were in support of the war as a whole. Polls showed they clearly were behind the presidents actions. EVERY time the president was on TV or gave a speach he promised that this war would cost lives, be difficult and take a long time. He did this because he knew that Americans quickly change there minds, when the going gets tough they want to quit. So he made it a point to emphasize these aspects of the war and almost begged the public to listen. They didn't of course and now want to blame him for the whole thing and wash there hands like they had nothing to do with it.

This is exactly why these seemingly small and technologically inferior countries are not threatened by the U.S. in it's attempts to make the world safe. They know that we are spoiled and are governed by emotion instead of sound policy. It is sad that soilders have lost their lives, but as a people we should have known this was going to happen. I know I did. If we do not have the staying power then we should not get involved to begin with. Leaving before the job is doneinsults the sacrifice of the soilders already killed. In fact it could make the world worse if civil war were to errupt in Iraq and this war spread throughout the Middle East.

By the way Tech is not alone!!
