Cowboys Account Account Talk

I want to explain my move today. The S is dropping and I thought if there was a short play it would be possibly tomorrow. If your following my moves I am purchasing back S at a lower cost and repositioning. I will have more shares and still be in stocks at open on Tuesday. The chart in S does not look good and this play possibly goes against a lot of the traders on the board and considered dangerous but everyone plays different. I fund has been steadly going up and appears to be the better stock at the moment, that I have no doubt. One day of hesitation can cost you when your playing short as it cost me last week.

Cowboy: From what I have seen is 3 consecutive days down hard gets you the rebound, not always but a simple plot of share prices show it.

I moved back to stocks this morning due to the recent slide (only 2 days) but at 9:00 this morning I saw what i thought was son real strength at 1198, good volume and it tested it 3 times, well tha slide started up big after that and I am afraid I got in one day early, but still not a bad entry point even if it dips from here. I chose the C because of interest rates rising due to inflation numbers.

Time will tell I sure hope I don't give back the 2% I earned this month.

Yes, you could be early but I figure if I gain 1% in one day of trading it is worth the chance. The market could go down all week but it may take it all in one day and give it back for the next two, nobody really knows. The move I made is not for the faint of heart. I also look at it this way I had entered last week at 14.53 a share now it looks like I can enter at 142?. Sold on Friday for a small loss but could gain it all back tomorrow or the next day or lose it. It's called risk! I also will take a loss in the F fund too today! I am not afraid to play long on this either as I was buying less shares two weeks ago for my money. Good luck to you!

If the four economic reports come out bad on Monday he will look like a genious. However if they come in good then yields will go up and the F fund will go down. At least the F fund will not drop .15 in one day. So that is a good risk to take. I was thinking of that. However, I wanted to get over to G to catch the sure .01 on Tuesday.

me too, but I am confused what does a move for monday get a tuesday penny?
Based on the pattern of G fund. It should pay the .01 on Tuesday. I want to get the sure then and be back in G on Monday. I figure the internationalswill rally on Monday on the U.S. market rally. So, I am "hoping" to catch a gain in I fund, catch the G fund .01 and watch the 17 economic reports being dumped on us.

Does that make sense, Mac? This is what you got to do in markets like this. Try to get what you can without putting your neck out to far.

OK I see your logic, you should really start a thread with your "account talk" and re-name your thread for posting your moves current account is not correct, It should be "Dr. Dubious account" and "Dr. Dubious account talk"

Was thinking Mik_Man or lookywhatigot would be a good name for a new thread or just add to your old accounts, hehe.

Mac I was answering you question about the pros and cons about F. Sorry for trying to help.

Why F???:dah:

Thanks for answering that for me Dr. Dubious. I think you answered it better than I could ever have. Whyare you guysassuming that I am someone else. You know what assume does, it makes an ass u me. I am my own investor and I like to keep my identity, please. I have an account guys, and some people asked me to open an account talk so I did. As they were wondering what I was doing and why. I trade a lot on my TSP if you have not noticed in my Cowboy account probably more than I should. I been short trading heavily lately.

I am all F for Monday. Please don't mistake me for someone else on the board.

I think you have a very good mix and I wouldn't change it. I am contiplating just going into the stock that I think goes up then spreading out and staying in stocks by spreading out then the stock that responds the best moving into it and vise versa.

I am investing that stocks do not go up Monday. That does not mean they wont go up Tuesday. One thing about the market it is going to do what it wants to and if it doesn't do what you thought, you have to look at it all over again and reconsider it in a different light. I knowI fundis going up and I like to play it, but I missed the big moves in it the last 3 times because it is not been responding quite like I have wanted. Every time I have thought it is one day away from hopping in it goes up that day and I miss it. One thing about I & S is that they can turn on you quickly but I do believe I fundhas hit a new plateau and is a good fund would I buy at it's current price no because it is too high risk for me currently. Was it too high at at Friday mornings price no it was not.

I have went 100% C as I have stated before I think the markets are going to consolidate today and try to break the cealing tomorrow. If any of you are trying to make an interfund move the TSP is very slow today so this could be a good sign or bad we will see tomorrow! I may make an I fundplay this week will keep watching the market. Good luck to everyone! Those who take the risk usually get paid or slaughtered and the I fund looks very good.

I made a interfund transfer yesterday but apparently it did not transfer. I was wondering if anyone else noticed that theirs did not work. This has happened several times to me. It is part of the problems with the TSP system we have to work with. I was day trading and wonder if TSP just decided not to update my account. I am still 100% F fund. I made my move at 10:30 approximately yesterday and confirmed it. There was problems with the system so everyone may want to check if they made any moves.

Cowboy---

I don't think the problem is day trading. I'm having trouble accessing TSP.gov. At home , I have cable modem and that seems to help. But at work with DSL there seems to be a problem. Also,at home I access my account during non-peak hours. Maybe the problem is in their server.

Early this morning, after putting in my access codes, the window said they were doing maintainance, to come back in 30 minutes...

I had gotten in to the TSP and viewed my account and the page showed updated as of Monday the 28th but no transfer to C asI had done. I don't believe it transfered and never received any confirmation. I don't believe the system worked.

Did you try to make the trade again? I had the same trouble as Spaf indicated but got through after a few extra tries. Be interesting to see what happens tommorrow, if my trade went through or not. From a Tally perspective your account should show the trade occuring. I'm wondering how to get your Tally corrected now. If you did try to transfer again I'd just show the Tally with the trade yesterday and move forward. If you didn't try to transfer again I should probably show the Tally moving you back to F fund?
