Yes I think the cargo ship is the bigger danger, in the military aspect. As they have already made a port visit in Jeddah, it would seem Saudi Arabia is giving them a pass. Or maybe it's just best to keep your enemy close, as the saying goes.

I wonder if Egypt will let them into the Med. This is all about showmanship and the media attention I guess. If they do get into the Med, they will be on the big stage. Only counter productive things can happen at that point.

We shall see where the Egyptian Military stands pretty soon I think.

Watch out folks...

The primary job of the FED is to defend the dollar p) and stabilize the economy.

Not to inflate the dollar and goose the economy.

At some points in an economic cycle the FED may find a need for inflation (to fight deflation) and/or determine that the economy must be goosed.

But now...

Not so much...

Bernanke will soon increase interest rates - without warning. It will not hurt mid to long term. Short term will have Amoeba bailing to the 'G Fund' after the market corrects:embarrest:.

I tend to agree. It's too early to get jumpy on these news driven trading days. If we bounce, it may be just as dramatic as the dip. Of course the events currently unfolding won't go away on short notice either and there's always the chance that the game has changed. Just too soon to know.

The markets have been very good to me in February. Libya is gonna chase Egypt's outcome until Moammar has to leave, that will be a long time. I'm going to take these positive gains and hide until next week.
