coolhand's Account Talk

So Tony is a bear, as for the video, I thought it was great. Perhaps his message didn't reach smart-azz Buster, but there are plenty of uneducated & educated folks out there who have no idea whats going on.

When I was in my 20s I started TSP, and before that I thought the S&P 500 was a car race... Yea I'm not kidding :cheesy:

Kinda sounds like our/your parents - born one small step removed from the depression, doesn't it?

Save
Pay cash
Frugal is cool

Notice that layaway is back in style?
I see a solid future for Goodwill!

All meant in good fun coolhand

Like, wow I noticed that this was posted by like Doctor Bong man, and this dude has got to have like a really bigger, like massive view of reality that us mere mortals just like man don't cant ever even like see man.

I've heard of Robbins before, but not the Doc. Like wow man a guy claiming to live in Tijuana using a screen name like Doctor Bong just may be the guy to follow.

Looking at my YTD tracker performance, maybe this is just the ticket. Oh, wait, damn drug tests, guess total consciousness will have to wait.

Robbins does make good points, anyone paying attention knew most of this.

A few years ago conversations at work while people were getting ready to get on the road Mondays used to revolve around new vehicles, flat screen TVs and the latest electronic game for the kids. Now it's mostly about the J.O.B. and if there is any OT involved. People are not spending, even these people who are employed at a good wage. I am no longer the only over thirty person driving a 10 year old vehicle. (yeah I've always been a curmudgeon). The newer BMWs, Lexi, Accuras in the lot all belong to the new hires. For the first time coworkers are talking about paying off credit cards and not using them any more. In my limited little world, consumer spending is way down.

Can't speak for savings but I believe that most are contributing at least 5% to TSP mainly because us over thirty's (mostly 40s and 50s) have talked up the value of matching funds.

Just more ramblings by me, man

PO

Hey, I resemble that remark..:D:cool:

I bet you like the the Man-o-Truth too...

Actually I think that guys a real tool, but I don't put Tony in the same category because Tony has money, in fact he's probly the smart money...

Ya know of course I'm beng silly..

I couldn't agree more with you..Tony has it all..the MOT has nothing but a web cam and a dingy hole in the wall apt somewhere..always looking over his shoulder like he's running from someone..:D

But seriously..All I know of Tony is his infomercials and this clip CH posted he was all over the place..I knew what he was trying to say..But he never could come out straight with it...He sorta sounded like he was rambling just to ramble.

So bottom line..Jump to safe harbor for a while and watch which way the market turns..I got that.;)

Dude- he's giving you the "inside scoop" to get your membership $$.
He's dry just like the rest of us...(comparatively speaking from the 19th hole, of course)

TLT is 2.5% higher today. It looks like money is fleeing to safety. I hate to sound bearish, but I don't have a good feeling about this market right now.

That's pretty cynical. Remember, one has to gain credibility to establish a following and if he's right, that'll gain him many more followers and go a long way to keeping the ones he has. He couldn't have painted a more realistic picture. Time will tell whether he was right. I know where my money is betting. ;)

BTW, many co-worker where I work have a lot of respect for him. We all have to make a living doing something, don't we?

I've been working with 'Black Cow' manure over the weekend - it's great for the garden. It's still not superlative bull manure but does come close to making things green.

HAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's a nimble 'ol hoofer!! :toung:

Good stuff CH :D

you know the one about greener grass.....

btw- doesn't mean I didn't listen to what TR had to say and the urgency of how he said it ;)
