Yup, anti-locks different strategy. I was warned about western Oregon drivers 25 years ago, when I moved to the "westside" to go to grad school from a Rocky Mtn state. It was a native Oregonian friend who warned me before I moved, that westsiders don't know how to drive in snow or ice -they're used to rain, don't need snowtires normally, as long as they stay on the west side of the Cascades (Portland is of course on the "west side").

The news said it was old, rickety and condemned two months ago...A new one will be up in 2012...mean time businesses have closed near the bridge and back and forth travel between NY and Vermont will managed by some fairy..Don't know who he may be yet.:laugh:
