ChemEng's Account talk...

I think Im going to ride S for 1 more day... Its still hovering around its 20SMA with plenty of room before approaching top of channel. *holds breath*

Got caught with my hand in the cookie jar (again). I need to learn to stick to my plan and execute. Trying to adjust fire has too much a tendency to bring emotion into the equation for me...

Today is looking like another down or sideways day for C and S. So the big question is: do you buy in today and hope for a Christmas seasonality to kick in? or do you stay out and wait for this new track to develop better?

Im leaning towards the first option. But after getting bit yesterday with S and F today not opening well, Im getting a little gun-shy.

Almost missed what looks like a great buying opportunity for I... Ive got to remember to check the charts even while on vacation at home. :)

*holds breath*

Im going to jump into S today. Its well below the 20SMA and has good chance to bounce. If tomorrow proves me wrong, then will be time to find a lilly pad...

Make room on the lilly pad for me today. Im getting ready to jump!

I should have went with my gut yesterday and made the move, but decided to roll the dice. The risk/reward potential was too strong. Now Im stuck on the wrong side of the curve.

I was leaning towards making a day jump into I for today. But after seeing the market action this past hour, Im going to stay put for today. Although if Im wrong, today looks like a GREAT day to buy...

I was strongly considering a move into I today to catch a bounce. But I ran some numbers based on close prices of TSP I fund. I checked what the difference of the next days price (the bounce), when the previous day had a loss of >= $.20 (the dip). The condition happened 36 times and, of those, it dips 60% of the time. I then checked to see what the average return is when the bounce does happen, and it gains $.14--compared to an average loss of $.17.

Definately enough numbers to temper my move...

Im staying put today.

NIKKEI 300 (^N300) Summary 334.37 1.70(0.51%) up tonight as well as other internationals!!! I sure hope so as I stayed in; too high a loss to sell.

Im contemplating a move into S today. Although with all the earnings reports coming out next week, I get the sneaking suspicion that a few bad apples can taint the whole bunch.

The dollar has dropped significantly since I posted this this morning. I think Im going to stay around and fight it out another day in I.

Im thinking about rolling the dice on CPI tomorrow and jumping into S today. Anyone else taking this bet today?

I've been thinking about it. PPI was slightly higher than expected. My question is, how will the slashing of prices by retailers to bring in shoppers during the Christmas season affect Core CPI, if at all?

Anyone? Bueller?

Well that didnt go as planned. (Although its still too early to see if I won or lost the bet.)

I think Im going to be creative today. ;) I mean---chase bad money with good and let it ride.

See everyone tomorrow.

Futures are not looking optimistic for the dead cat bounce I was hoping for today. Leaning towards licking my wounds on the lilly pad today...

I'm with you. Bounce or not, I think I'm going to cut my losses and go get Monday's penny.

I also want to thank you again for uploading your Excel spreadsheet. I've incorporated my spreadsheet into yours and the ability to download stock prices within a second is making my mornings much easier.:)

Thanks again.
