I's down 10 cents......dollar is stronger as expected and EZ is losing it....

I's down 4 cents......EZ is coming back ....

EZ continues to come back....dollar will lose strength after today...for a short period....EZ may just hold position for the time being ....if nothing changes from this viewpoint, I looks like a good 1-2 day'er...

What is EZ?

EuroZone Weatherweenie.....and I was looking at some Forex data and it suggest the dollar will strengthen another day before it turns around...so I'm going to wait a day before possibly getting in the I.....I got the I down 2 cents at the moment....

Carnac's Morning Report

All the funds, excluding the F, are on a long term high....C,S Funds could be taken a short break for a couple of days....

F fund is begging to come up....

I's down 2-4 cents this morning......dollar is weakening some as expected yesterday and EZ is losing it a bit....

FACT: Did you know that the I fund gained only once this year on the day before the FOMC meeting....????

Do you happen to have the dates of the previous Fed meeting dates? I have to make a decision on all this talk of hawkish wording and pausing rates. For those in equities today, how are you playing it for tomorrow? Just curious. I'm still of the belief that the main indices will be at all time highs prior to election day. The fives days prior to election day in 2004, the c-fund gained 3.24%; on election day it gained zero; the three days following, it gained another 3.22%. Sept and Oct wasn't as fruitful as this Sept & Oct though. I'm kinda of leading to the thought that it will play differently this year -- we're seeing the buying hype pre-election and then probably some post-election short term sell-off.

Here, I found it yesterday...you can check it and verify what I found yesterday....

2006 Release Schedule
Released On: 1/31 3/28 5/10 6/29 8/8 9/20 10/25 12/12
Released For: Dec Feb Apr May Jul Aug Sep Nov

There seems to be little room for growth in the indexs....but they may just oscillate at this level until some time passes....

I'm in the I today...but tomorrow is another decision.....C and S don't interest me much today but could be a one day play.......I agree on the election scenario....

cheers, thanks, that helps if those dates are accurate!

I just went back and double checked it again...I think I missed one date to the positive (what can I say, my eyes are getting older), but its still only twice up verses the rest down the day before the meeting...

May 10 revisited...

You guys want to hear something that will shake you down to your boots...

Remember May this year, I said in April, see that MM, Griffin, and Fundsurfer, I'm saying it again, are you listening.... that we had an event happening in mid May....guess what, the same circumstances are just 10 days away....the only thing I see in which everyone is suspecting is they are holding up the market till elections are over.....then the market drop excuse could be due to election results....

We must be getting a bunch of liberals in office for they surely will screw up the business side of our economy......and I wouldn't get too trigger happy.....too soon...taxes will be going up and your income is going down....might as well plan on it....

I wouldn't be surprised this happens......market is way overbought....

Whatever happens in the election is moot - the man still has the veto and he will use it effectively. All the Dems can do is run the yak and nothing else. It will be a Pelosi bull market. Snort.

Birchtree,

I was typing as you posted. No tax increases from Bush. Glad to see you back to spread some manure around my friend.
