I thought this might be a fun thread to start. I'm always attempting to solve puzzles and answer quizzes, a little mental floss activity to keep the brain cells healthy. I'm not the best at it, but I do love a challenge and it can be fun, too. Post your brain teasers and let the games begin.

I didn't beat the clock but it was fun quiz to take. Ready. Set. Go !

Name a President for Every Applicable Letter in the Alphabet | Mental Floss

I had to resort to middle initials on some of these, but I still didn't get any results for I, Y, or X. We are talking strictly about U.S. presidents here, right? If you include nicknames you could have Ike for I but then you have to pull him out of E.

... for Every Applicable Letter ...

Yes, every applicable letter in the alphabet. Are you saying X or Y are not applicable letters in our alphabet?

LOL...they are not applicable with respect to the challenge. Also, those letters aren't included in the website for this challenge:

Name a President for Every Applicable Letter in the Alphabet | Mental Floss

Can you name the presidents for every applicable letter in the alphabet in less than a minute?

Userque, thanks for posting the table with letters and Last Name fields. I didn't see that when I went to the site.

Here is a word game challenge I have been working on this week, let's see how many can guess the correct answer. I will post the answer by tomorrow evening , or acknowledge if someone guesses correctly before then. :D

Take the names of two politicians in the news, switch the first letter of their names, read it backwards and it will name something that
they are not.

Good luck !

Here is one that was on the internet:

Albert and Bernard just became friends with Cheryl, and they want to know her birthday. Cheryl fives them a list of 10 possible dates.
May 15, May 16, May 19
June 17, June 18
July 14, July 16
August 14, August 15, August 17

Cheryl tells Albert and Bernard separately the month and the day of her birthday respectively.

Albert: "I don't know her birthday, but I know that Bernard does not know too."
Bernard: "At first I don't know her birthday, but I know now."
Albert: "Then I now know her birthday."

When is Cheryl's Birthday?

May 19.

July 16

18 & 19 are unique days so it can't be in May or June.

It can't be the 14th because then Bernard wouldn't know.

Albert finally knows so it has to be July 16 because August still has 2 possibilities.

Here's an old one. I took my grandson fishing and he caught his first Striper. He was so proud that after taking his picture he wanted to weigh it. Being the joker that I am, and wanting to help him with his algebra, I gave him a trick scale. He weighed the fish and the scale said it weighed 5 pounds plus half its weight. How much did the fish weigh?

10 pounds

A sundial is a way to measure time that has the fewest number of moving parts. What device used for measuring time has the most moving parts?

If one takes the word NON-PERCEPTION and rearranges its 13 letters, name 3 things that are on the same category. It's actually pretty elemental.
