Accumulating a few more wall flowers into the close: SWK, HP, URS, MLI, TRW, BMS. The Fed has laid the foundation for QE3 and that's good for equities.

Hi Birch, can you elaborate on QE3 - was their something about it in today's speech?

Bernanke hinted about QE3 at his news conference - they'll be possibly buying more MBS - but the amount is unknown. More of the same from QE1 back in 2009 and you know how the market reacted to that.

My investment adviser just finished a whole can of caviar and is now satiated. The flower pot is being replenished and if tomorrow is to the upside I plan to be an aggressive buyer again.

Feeding the advisor caviar may encourage it (her?) to start stalking sturgeon. I can fully understand the cat's attraction to the stuff but why any human would eat fishy smelling slime is beyond me.

I don't think there's anything to be optimistic about right now, better be safe than sorry. Europe is about to flame out, I admire Birchtree's enthusiasm and faith in the market, but I'm not sure we can call it a market anymore, it's more like a roulette table and the little guy is going to be completely destroyed if he thinks he can outsmart or outmaneuver this scheme of a market...

Accumulating a few more wall flowers that have the potential to turn into roses: TKR, HOS, AEO, ANR, TWIN. I need to snoop around and see what I can find interesting to buy with exposure to the Bakken Shale play in North Dakota. I already own some train related assets that may need some further depth. It sure is fun being a bull. I made 353 trades buying in October - sure would like to do the same for November. Just don't know if my flower pot will be deep enough. Snort.
