Birchtree's Account Talk

My daughter will gain more shares this week in her Roth 401K plan.

Hey Birch,
Has she given any hints about the oil companies restructuring for better profits?

To me it seems like a great idea - as one has already taken the lead. The mega giants were the way to go in the 90s when oil was like $10 a barrel, but now it's like the opposite.

How did the civil war era film turn out? I ask in part because I rarely ever have the TV on. If I watch the TV it's usually movies streamlined through Netflix or a blue ray movie. Anyway - so I'd miss it if it became a big hit.

BP is trying to sell the refinery in Texas City - Buzz has been invited to stay another year. I feel other doors may open next year and then she'll have to make some decisions - I've already given her a heads up but she doesn't believe it. I just know BP will make her an offer to join their audit division and that could be a nice career pathway into middle management.

If there is one thing that I have learned in the past two weeks it is I DON"T KNOW A DARN THING ABOUT THE STOCK MARKET!

Thanks Birch!!

Stuff like that is always great to hear.

My little tiger cubs are also coming of age - more and more - so it's a great feeling. The one right out of college got the job she was hoping for as a teacher in KY. The one in Korea flies in tomorrow with her husband to be. And the kitten ka bootle heading to college has everything planned out and is doing great.

Despite the leaps and bounds by which our country has gone down the drain since we were kids - for the true fabric of what we knew America stood for I wish they all could collectively work on that and forget everything else. To me the pain everyone would have to endure would be worth it if we knew the TRUE FABRIC was being restored. But that would mean everyone being united - you know really being united so we don't see a difference between Rep or Dem - Lib or Cons - all working for the real cause of Government. Well whatever -- see ya in NC in a few years.

Obama, you want the House to fund the FAA to put their 4000 workers back on the job, well then release the gulf workers to drill. Fair is only fair. The only thing Obama can do to initiate more jobs is to get out of the way and resign.

Too bad for Lahood on CNBC crying big tears - he deserves some pain. The guy is an arm pit. It's called Karma. It's time for Obama to deal and release the gulf drillers to return to work.

My hat is off to you Birchtree. You called it dead on today. Dow positive at the close. You are so sharp I might start calling you Razor :D. So are the bulls running tomorrow?.

Is today the day to panic - I won't fall for that anxious impulse. We may not however get that tail today - I'd be surprised but pleased if we did.

Maybe we should panic.

"I fell into a burning ring of fire. I went down, down, down, as the flames went higher." The market is going to start thinking about QE3. I'll just handle this selling - the R2K is still hold its last low of 750 - so let's see how this consolidation plays the end game. I'm not moving - we may have a double bottom in place.
