Birchtree's Account Talk

Happy Birthday BT... Good to see another July birthday.... What sector looks good to nibble on today?? I suspect today and/or tomorrow will be a good buying opportunity while our politicians and prez continue to play politics over the dept/spending crisis.

Happy Old man day Birch.....you're the kinda guy that has the gonads to actually say whatever everyone else is thinking...don't change.

Came out of my foxhole to wish Birchtree happy birthday. Going back down now. As for the dry powder question...catching a falling knife gets you cut. There are plenty of war scars here on this thread who can attest to that.

Just finished mowing and edging my lawn - the job gets bigger every time I do it. The oceanic paid a dear price today but I'm holding the line. Thank you everyone for the best birthday wishes - I plan to out live Mindylou and she has plans to get her teeth cleaned every five years and will live another 25 years.

This is the Oracle thread, right? Dick Bove just told the CNBC audience to pull out of the market and plan to be out for awhile. He says the world will accelerate its move out of the USD as safe haven regardless of what happens on the debt ceiling. The problem is that no one is going to fix the underlying problem of growth of debt and the Fed is going to increasingly debase the currency. When pressed by the host, noting he sounded like chicken little, and certainly he did not want to tell the investor audience that the sky is falling, he said yes, the sky is really falling. I did not know Bove was a doom and gloom guy by nature. Is he?

Dicky is usually optimistic on the banking sector - so he has an opinion, so what. I believe this market as a discount mechanism will begin to anticipate the 2012 election and the end of Donkey rule. It's time to buy some happiness. Nothing has changed for my future - be right and sit tight. There is a boom on the way.

Ok Birch, for your birthday here is a bucket of water for your wall flowers. All you have to do is add the fertilizer befor Friday morning. You are da man and you can cause it to happen. 1303 held and we need one day of consolidation and the Birchtree will grow.

check Asia - gapped down at the open. Besides 1,303 was near the low of the session. I didn't see anything that would suggest buying near the close. But it's still pretty mild. Not a cliff-drop by any means.

The only thing to do with a good fire is pour the rest of your gas on it. C'mon baby burn, if that's all you got make it a good one. It's a rocket ride coming up, punched your ticket yet?

Investing tip: buy dental plays, don't matter who, just that someone's gonna get there teeth knocked out here.

I'm betting long is the right side of this trade.

Sorry I missed posting you a Happy Birthday. Anyway Happy Happy Birthday. Reminds me of an old Tams song "Be Young Be Foolish But Be Happy". With all that said; Happy Birthday BT.

JTH,

I have 43 stocks waiting on my buy list - the problem is I'm out of money right now. I decided to let pass my more than several 0% interest rate cards that lasts for 12 months and will let my dividends do some of the heavy lifting. The market will give me flower buying power and when it does it will be fast and furious - so I'll be patient until we regain the April 29th highs - anything after that will be more gravy. I could always sell my ARJ that is a buy out but I'm waiting for my White Knight. And I prefer not to sell anything to raise cash - so I'll sit tight until the cycle comes back around and then I'll let it rip. Snort. My good news is that APL and CR have announced dividend increases - now that's money in the bank when you multiply the increase against all the previous shares bought.

I missed your Birthday?
Well Happy post-Birthday to ya then!

Hey-PS
You going to ride this BS through or is there a point you've set to pull the chute and take cover?
