Birchtree's Account Talk

Hey there Steady - nice to hear from you. I can't wait to get my lake place and get out of this terrible heat. "Buzz" is doing fine and racking up the Skymiles. Her husband has been making a Civil War short film in Virginia as part of his resume to get into a graduate program for film. Buzz flew to Virginia from Chicago for two weekends free to help her husband - she was involved in makeup and feeding the crew and players. My son in law has chosen a risk occupation and wants to work in the advertising field. I told my wife that when my equity position reaches $3M that we would discuss her retirement options and head for North Western North Carolina - I've got six lake properties of interest and am waiting for more price softness. Things are slow in Cashiers right now and prices are starting to come down. I'm glad to hear that love is flourishing - such an adventure you are on. This bull market has plenty of life to run. Snort.

Well it's really great to hear from you too!!!

It's bound to be hot there too - but the peace and quiet and the tranquility of the lake are bound to make a huge difference. I think to a largely degree the change of environment and 'starting over' is what's behind most of all the beautiful LIFE and LOVE and everything we are flourishing in. So I could easily see you and your wife all the more enjoying each other Birch.

$3M sounds like a great place to stop and reflect and make the most of your remaining years. I bet she's looking forward to finding and enjoying the new adventures as well. That's something we are heavily into Birch and it's like the Boy and Girl have totally come to life. We like getting out and finding adventures and places we kind of mark as another wonderful experience.

We've got some property in NC - seriously - and we're just talking about going to VA. That would be so cool if we could see them and watch the production. It is a High Risk field - but it's like the ultimate way of showing your creative and artistic skills and it is (or can be) immensely rewarding - in many ways. Gosh Birch, watch this young scamp wind up with $3M like overnight. It's also really great that Buzz is able to be a part of that and I bet she is a huge Inspiration. There is nothing like the INSPIRATION of the woman who touches you in all the right ways and makes your life complete. That she's even helping with the make up and stuff shows a very deep and solid relationship Birch and I'm thrilled for that.

Raking up the skymiles means they recongnize the qualities that most define her and are NOT blinded by her gender. If anything I bet her social skills and her leadership experience all the more make her stand out. So I really appreciate this Birch because I think about them every now and then.

Well - when F FUND Woman says to 'Buy and Hold - C/S/I' that has to be the single greatest Flag for a Bull Market I could ever imagine. Gosh, that's just unbelievable - I mean that is HUGE. I've been is so long now I don't even look anymore -- I mean nothing like before. Then again things are night and day compared to before.

Well have a good one Birch and I hope you hit the $3M fairly soon. You've worked for this your whole life Birch and Buzz could not have turned out better. Now is the time to let is all happen and reap in the rewards.

Since there is no myopic lose aversion here my oceanic has been percolating right along. I need $27K tomorrow to end the week up at least $200K. For the youngsters out there many investors miss the fact opportunity missed can be just as harmful to achieving investment objections in the long term as money lost. Be right and sit tight. Let's see what the I fund does in July. If I can get the price I want I'll shift 10% more to the C fund.

Since this morning I've had just about 2,000 views - that's not bad money at $0.05 a throw. My oceanic is just percolating and now the tugboat is kicking into drive instead of reverse.

Looks like the "I" fund has been good to you. You've made some big leaps in the last week. Congratulations! That FV was a constant thorn on my side so I had to get rid of it. I just don't have the patience for things I cannot understand.

So many cluckers today and yesterday it warms my contrarian culottes.
Bawk, Bawk, Bawk. I for one will remind myself its Summer and sit out in the coop for a while where it is shady. Also my TSP is not like your oceanic and I am better served to act cautiously rather than always be in equities no matter what. I have to be happy to have regained some of my June losses. If the market takes another plunge after the holiday I will give ya a bye-bye wave on your way down!

BT: Are you still 80% I or did I miss a move of yours, and what spacific price are you looking for?

Yes, I'm still 20C and 80I - my price for shifting 10% more to the C fund from the I fund is $22.50. I'm staying large cap for the next several years in my tugboat (TSP).

The speed and velocity of the ferocious rally this week has simply scared many TSP market participants into the arms of mother safety. I just remind myself that the bull market is destined to continue strongly for many more years - so I have no fear only greed. This week we had four triple digit high intensity up days which means full speed ahead - no G fund for this perma bull. My oceanic account established a new weekly earnings power. Here is what happened: +$27K, +$64K, +$35K, +$47K, +$70K for a gain of +$243K. Now if I can get half that next week in four trading days I'm golden. At this rate it won't be long before I start earning flower buying power - the list is ready to go.

One more post before I take the wife out to dinner - she worked hard this week. ISEE data at 55 is an all time low in this indicator and means that many speculators out there are buying puts with both hands in anticipation of a major market decline from this juncture. But on a contrarian basis, this is the kind of fear that fuels great advances in the markets. Run through the jungle and don't look back - happy fourth of July.

The 8% consolidation over 7 weeks took my oceanic account down $469K. The last 2 weeks have gained me back $319K - leaving me to gain another $150K to be back to my April high. Then I return to my buying spree collecting wall flowers. Currently I've made 615 DCA purchases into my base since July 31, '10 - we'll see if the rest of this month is good to me and allows further purchases. I've never made $243K in one week so I'm nervously anticipating more gains the rest of July. You can't go wrong with so much bearishness from a contrarian perspective. Who else do you know that wants to buy emerging markets through multinationals?

"Impressive is the best word to describe the rally, in what has become one of the biggest 5 days rallies in history. You don't need QE when money moves from one place to another. The bottom line is and always has been, price is all that matters. Volume never really makes much difference as price can move for far longer periods than you think, just the same with indicators and sentiment readings."

That's amazing...What is your stock count now? Question..If today, you were buying your first stocks in a Roth, what would be the best 8 - 10 dividend paying stocks you would buy? The best of the lot? Based on past performance, of course. Thanks in advance.

My oceanic stock count is currently I believe 326. If I were starting a Roth IRA I'd have to go with stuff no one likes but are paying good dividends. The website http://www.seekingalpha.com often offers good suggestions listed under articles. I like PFE, MRK, BMY, EBF, DLX, MSB, OLN, UDR to start.
