Birchtree's Account Talk

Re: Birchtree's account talk

"A major objective of all the money printing, government intervention, and low interest rates is to create positive inflation, which includes asset price inflation. The CRB Index also experienced a breakout this week contributing to bullish reflation trends evident across many markets. For now, the bulls remain in control of almost all markets. We expect more of the same until we see something different (bullish trends, higher highs, and normal corrections)."

Re: Birchtree's account talk

Of the 61 S&P companies that have reported earnings so far, 79% have reported better than expected earnings. The VIX has plunged 74% since closing at a record 80.86 last November - Friday's close was at 21.43. It may approach the 20 level sometime this week.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

For those that can't see the tracker and are interested my tugboat remains at 65C,20S,15I. The VIX was going the wrong way this morning - going up as the market started to rally. Made me kind of wonder if it was saying the fear is now geared toward missing the boat. It has since started drifting back down. If this momentum continues the bull will be dragging me into the market to pick up a few lonely wall flowers. I've now made 598 individual DCA purchases since June 26th - and plan to make many more. Stocks are only going to get more expensive as we move up to the SPX 1222 level.

Birch,
You ask, "Does it bother me to keep making money the way I do?"

Well Birch that's about the silliest question you could ask me; in fact I'd have to say that is just down right stupid!!

So let me answer that question this way: There are few things that could 'grate at me' MORE than having my money 'stagnate' or all the more either NOT GETTING POTIENTIAL GAINS -- OR LOSING MONEY.

Friends tell friends -- to Buy when the Time is Right and HOLD ON

As they said in the good ole days --- 'Keep on Trucking' :D

Re: Birchtree's account talk

Mindylou says to buy early and for goodness sake buy often. So today so far I bought: OKE, PVH, SE, SHW, SLE, SLI, SO, SR. The VIX is trying to hold relatively stable - but if the SPX takes out 1100 it should drop nicely.

Since the 1019 rebound in the s&p, i really think we're in the sweetspot of that "symetrical move" you've been waiting for. you almost know it for sure, when bears jump to bulls in a nanosecond and smart buyers are willing to be chasers. the perferct storm of charts, earnings, sentiment, momentum, and squeezes all coming together!

Re: Birchtree's account talk

You got that right. Such a steady uptrend without a much awaited for correction is a perfect motivator for panic buying. Optimistic markets can stay optimistic for a long time and this creates much anxiety - the bull could end up with taking ruthless vengeance on the short hairs.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

Just look at the slope of the line for today's charts of C and S Funds. That slope is as steep upwards as I've noticed. Sure looks like panic buying...stampede like...

Re: Birchtree's account talk

My attitiude is.... wait for a small correction before entering?
Lose a LOT more of the potential up!

Jumped in deeper water today, going from 15C, 15S, 10I to
35C, 25S, 15I. From 40% in, up to 75%.

My the water feels refreshing!

Re: Birchtree's account talk

Of course if after the bell and tomorrows reports possibly disapoint it may not feel refreshing.
I have some floaties and some cold ones if ya need it.:D

Re: Birchtree's account talk

"Despite recent warnings that the rally may be over, stock markets face a meltup as institutional investors will now feel obliged to buy to deliver returns. A meltup is the opposite of meltdown, as investors feel forced to buy in the market so they wouldn't miss profit opportunities."

Birch -- probably should be a PM -- but what the hell

I'm done with guy and anything connected to him and I'm telling ya as a friend and a 'brother' -- write him off altogether

He does more than get under our skin -- he rubs raw nerves..:mad:

The best option is to ignore him altogether -- he knows nothing ... I mean honestly ... he knows absolutely nothing about us and therefore he can only talk garbage ... his mind/life is screwed up.

In the mean time even the F FUND is saying --- hey wait for me --- I want to make some money too
