Birchtree's Account Talk

Re: Birchtree's account talk

I'm having to go out and scout my own gloom and doom negativity data. How I now long for the return of the darkside trio of Anidoc, 350Z and ChemEng. They made my life easier. Even James was known to have a few moments on the dark side.

You really are bad for business when it comes to this website. Your incessant need for attention by name calling, which you happen to use quite often, is pathetic. Must have been a big down day for you.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

I still love ya Birch. Probably the biggest difference between us is that you see the Liberals (Dem) different from the Conservatives (Rep). Whereas I see them both pretty much the same.

I agree 100% with this comment. They are both equally as destructive to this country!

With that said, Godbless Kennedy and all others inflicted with Cancer.

Sugarandspit,

You know I cherish any affectation from you - thanx for dropping by. I watched a bit of Curious George on HBO this morning - it did remind me of your noise.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

BirchBiden,

Thanks for writing. Wow! I couldn't wait to hear what you had to say. I'm just surprised it wasn't a copy and paste link. Or another one of "your opinions." Hail to the master! Johnnie Cochran and Jessie Jackson would be proud of your catch phrases.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

Someone gave me three anonymous reputation points today perhaps not realizing that kind of activity is not good for business. Or perhaps they were from my fatuous lovely. Wild thing I think you move me - you make my heart sing, you make everything groovy. Let's ride the upcoming Elliott C-wave together.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

That's not exactly the rendition I remember but it'll certainly deliver my point. Thanx alot and you should know Asylum I'm buying housing stocks and related materials trying to get a jump on the building train - which will undoubtedly be even stronger than the last build up.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

Terra Industries (TRA) $43.47 is a stock I own and is a leading producer of nitrogen used for fertilizer. It has seen soaring profits and cash flow as more farmers plant corn to take advantage of higher corn prices. Terra recently expanded a share buyback program and initiated a dividend. And even though the stock is up a heady 140% in the past year, it's still trading at less than 10 times its expected earnings for the next 12 months. I'm in in the early teens on this jewel. Another wall flower heading for glory and an eventual peel off.

If you read my latest edition of Builder magazine from the Natl Homebuilder Ass'n, i'm pretty sure you'd be steering clear of the buying most of the big 100 publicly traded home builder company stocks...

Lots of companies going under right now... as they are over built with no buyer and over bought on land with no prospects to build for..

Be careful is all i''m sayin...

Thanks Phillyfed, I could write so many things about what has happened under the Bush Administration that if you just look at the facts (and not have this pre-conceived idea that he is "justified" as the United States (Super Power) leader would appal anyone.

But my comment was much more a reflection of the SYSTEM and not meant to indicate that if you are either a Dem or Rep that you are essentially trash. The SYSTEM itself is extremely corrupt and the wheels in place which are spinning to keep it running are full of heavy bribes, SECRECY AND DECEPTION that dominate everything.

OBAMA - is the only one I've ever heard talk about making a policy whereby Congress will vote in a fashion that is open for all to see - like broadcast on TV. "This would make it much more a government by the people and for the people". We have not had that kind of government in my lifetime - but the rose colored glasses have been issued to everyone and the Media has done it's job well to paint a good picture.

So this is honestly the first time I can ever think of where I am voting for someone that I believe is out to take a lot of the corruption out - and make it more a government by the people and for the people. He is the one most solidly showing an understanding that we are ONE WORLD and ONE PEOPLE - and that respect and working things out intelligently is far superior to going around the world and taking whatever we want and "screw the rest of you" attitude.

SO THIS IS THE FIRST TIME - I EVER FEEL LIKE WE MIGHT HAVE FRESH ENOUGH BLOOD - AND A NEW AND INDEPENTENT ENOUGH MINDSET TO REALLY MAKE THE CHANGES "WE SO DESPERATELY NEED"

I sincerely appreciate your comment about Kennedy and cancer. All of us are going to die (one way or another). My hope is that we can all get to a place (a point in our lives) where we don't rejoice with the tragities inflicted on others and use that to blast them for a real (or even a perceived mistake). There is not a person alive that is either worse or better than me - Kennedy - or you.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

Asylum,

I'm basically a contrarian when I make a purchase with a three to five year time horizon - so I'll nibble the housing stocks all the way back up whenever I get a little spill money. If they refuse to move for a year or two that's to my advantage because I build my position with lower prices. I don't chase the market for an immediate profit - I prefer to make my money the long way around and wait for the market to come to me. That's what I did several years ago when I started building my fertilizer positions - now I'm on for the ride and will peel off gently for funds to purchase other lovely wall flowers. It just takes time.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

Hey Birch,
Listen brother - want you to know that I'm not trying to make a battle with you my friend (and I sincerely mean that). You are every bit as much intitled to your beliefs and opinions as anyone else.

It's just - I felt I needed to respond to something that happened to be on your thread.

AS FOR THE MARKETS - SOMETIMES IT'S A REAL Son of a B****

I (and the others) bail in hopes of avoiding substantial loss

WE'RE CONVINCED OUR OVERALL GAINS WILL BE GREATER

AND THE MARKETS THEN STABLIZE AND DO WELL while we're out.

Should the Markets dive - I'll be glad for the change OF the dread that consumes us TURNING to relief and happiness

Whereas - you have a huge advantage - because you don't worry either way and seem unphased by the general doom and gloom.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

As I have mentioned previously you must be aware and understand the fact that we are going to see frightening retracements the higher up we go. Bull markets do not like company and the higher we go the stiffer the pullbacks will be to make sure that not everyone is participating as we continue to move higher and higher. All we need now is a Hindenberg Omen to surface to really panic the herd.

They'll be in G by time we get one of those anyway. Could you imagine how many folks would have IFT'd into Oil today if we were offered a commodity type ETF in the TSP?

Those Transports haven't risen without reason because only big money can move an Index that far. Somebody has been betting on a blowoff top in Oil since January.

I still want that REIT Fund.

And that's where the "sidelined" money has been - not waiting to get back into S&P, etc. Not "sidelined" at all.;)
