Birchtree's Account Talk

I have always wanted to wander around in here when Birch was not home. Quite frankly it just like I thought it would be. Fox news blaring away 24/7, radios superglued to Rush Limbaugh programming, CTRL,C,and V keys worn out on all keyboards and a picture of Birch with his arm around a blow up doll of Ronald Reagan. One thing though there is an incessant smell in here thats overpowering...........manure I think.
I better get out of here before he gets back.

i miss birch's daily commentaries

I agree with Sniper :) It does seem like the way I'd picture it... well, except for the blow-up doll. I miss BT! especially with all the bulls running now. As high as they're going, I'm thinking they may have been crossed with mountain goats. Hmmm, Sugar, did you see and animal husbandry manuals while poking around?

I have returned with gratitude from the indignation of banishment #9. As much as I post it is inevitable that I end up on occasion eventually micturating bull tinky on someone's shoes. This time I was banned for using the term wanton inappropriately. I suspect a complaint from a jealous former glum and banal adversarial burrito. A comrade that obviously confused wanton with wonton - a soup. End of story.

My oceanic account did well in the last four trading days: +$53K, -$9K, +$7K, +$34K for a pleasant gain of +$85K. I'm now ahead +$323K for January with four more trading days to make +$77K to make my whisper number. The best January since 1994 is not finished yet. Laszlo Birinyi is saying that 2013 is going to be much like 1982. The cash flows coming into the market should last several years - coming at the beginning of this bull market.

I'd rather this market rally like it's 1995 when the Dow surged 34%. If that happens I'll have to adjust my year end target from 17,000 to 18,600.

Welcome back once again from purgatory. I have tried keeping up the Bullish Sentiment (BS?) in your absence, but I do not have your flair for the flamboyant bullishness of which you are famous...

If this ends up more like 1995, I hope 2014 doesn't end up like 1987, 1991, 2001-2-3, or 2008... although from 1995 there were 300+% gains :D

Welcome back BT! I missed your bullish optimism. Nine times, huh? I suppose we should take bets on the date of the tenth? You of course can't play since it would be too easy to fix the game. Again, welcome back :)

With European banks paying back their ECB loans early I suspect the euro is going to rock. If the euro goes up then we go up. I'd like to see a 200 point open just to create some anxiety for those about to get burried with the positive money flow. "US equities have been under 'multiple repression' as global and domestic political and financial worries have kept a lid on valuations. We've suffered three scares for three years for recessions that never came. The valuation lid is coming off now. The potential melt-up has only just begun." If you live in fear, you will be frozen into doing nothing, or worse, doing exactly the wrong thing. One has to realize that more money has been lost as the result of fear than the actual events feared.
