Birchtree's Account Talk

Thanks FWM but I prefer my New England scene of serenity in the fall. The Transports and Utilities are at new all time highs today - the Dow will catch up probably before the end of May. All three major indexes putting in new all time highs is very bullish - but one has to be careful because the same thing happened in the fall of 2007 - right before trouble was born. No myopic loss aversion here my friends.

Is there anything big out on the horizon? Barring a catastrophic event, things seem to be pretty tranquil, all things considered.

Probably just about right for the big boys to pull the rug out from under us again. Not to worry, they'll get that first day out of me, but that's it. I'll never forget 2008.

"The daily charts for the major indexes are all in bullish inverse patterns and that has to be the focus until broken."

I received this article last night and Jack is very good on calling for stocks as he currently recommend mostly or all cash. The only problem is when he called to pull out or to get in are too late when it relate to tsp as most of the time after 12EST or at the end of the day. His service are good to excellence as it worth the money for someone who have free time (especially retirees) to follow at least twice intraday conference call and execute within a minute he recommend buy or sell to lock in profit. Jack has 55% return for YTD is very good, but I found out trading option are better than stocks since it fit perfectly with my style risk/reward on short term with less money up front and easy to lock in at least 20% to 80% profit per month with margin.

I won't be buying any wall flowers this week because I don't have any available flower power. My oceanic account will need to gain $97K before I begin to gain flower power again. I could always sell something to raise cash inorder to buy, but I prefer not to do that at this time. So I'm just sitting tight and letting any dividends that are due do the lifting. I could have possible flower power by the end of the week. I'm at the mercy of the market but that's a good thing in a bull market.

Full Speed Ahead!!!!

Lately, when I hear bull market, I think of this:

3 UP, 1 Down, 3 UP, 1 Down, 3Up, 1 Down or a turn around to cover the GAP!:notrust:
Hey, there's a little buying!!!:eek::cheesy:

Well Jimmy Cricketts, it could have been worse. Up 130 points in two days with an oceanic gain of $99K and then a 130 point down day tags me -$87K - that leaves me $12K positive for the week at least so far. This type of market volatility is to be expected - get everyone on the wrong side and then leave them standing on the platform - this bull is not finished by a long shot. I think we get jobless claims tomorrow - they'll surprise and be better than last week.

Are you ever negative about anything or is this reverse psychology?:D

Too early to be negative about anything - this bull is going to last for several more years. A slow growth GDP means the market bull can last a very long time. I'm wondering if the S fund got hit with more than -2.23%.

Don't know about the S Fund. Just glad I have 40% in C. And tomorrow is payroll deduction for TSP, so more C shares! :D

I don't understand why the people that are 100% I only lost -83% even though EFA lost more than C or S. Is that FV at work?

jp,

I have the expectation that you and rube will unseat JTH before May ends - how's that for being positive. I just have to try and stay ahead of you both myself.
