Birchtree's Account Talk

Check my guruinvestor post a few days back for confirmation. Sooner or later the dog will bark - they all do. Please don't stand close to the tracks later today because sparks are going to fly - bond money seems to be moving back to equities. You also have to realize that the stock markets operate in the future - that's often a hard concept to conceptualize.

We can say one thing for sure, bonds and the Vix are confirming today's price action. We haven't seen the Vix this low since the April 2010 peak.

Dont make no difference pahdnuh. Buy buy buy. :toung:

Actually, I feel very good right now on the sidelines...last week I wasnt too cheerful about jumping out two weeks ago (prematurely)
but this hayride is just about to take a rest stop I figger.

A few more buys to keep the blood circulating on a cold day: AVY, HUN, TWIN, GSM, CNS, AHC. If the Dow can hold into the 11,425 range I'll return with a few more special wall flowers.

It's a defensive move away from the S fund - there is a thumping coming soon. I believe companies that are large cap will start to outperform and that includes the companies that make up the I fund index. If I'm wrong I still have plenty of small cap firms in my oceanic account. Just finished buying: GE, HOS, RT, GLW. I'm done buying for today - it's time to rest again and watch the close. I think the I fund companies will participate in the emerging markets via proxy going forward.

At the morning lift off I turned a $40K gain into a late day $1K gain. Well I still have available buying power so I won't be bored tomorrow with the buying I need to do. The list is long and the days are short. I'm going to try and be a solid stock buyer for the next 7 months while we continue to rally. Buy'em now because they will only be more expensive in the future - locking in unrealized gains as we go.

I'm so dull I think I'll buy a few more furniture stocks in the morning. I have a few ETH pieces in my house - yes that would fit the bill. Perhaps a few building materials stocks to spice up the figgy pudding.

Pardon me for interrupting the arguments about stocks.

I read your posts over in Nate's house. UNH, Durham, 1969. I am not suggesting we knew each other but I bet our paths crossed.

Was it a Rockingham County processs server (AKA sherriff) or a Durham cop who actually took you to jail?

At one point during that time it seemed every educator in that part of NH saw a SDS member behind every tree.

Cool to know we trod the same sidewalks. Hood house was where you worked?

I think the hot dog in the white house finally gets it. He is showing some backbone to do the right thing.
I think everything done is a calculated move intended to further his overall community activist agenda. The goal is to reshape this nation and society. That is the right thing to him. You're getting close to being in the badguy class ya know. :)

PessOptimist,

I actually ended up at the Dover jail. I worked the night shift at the infirmary primarily to provide security to keep the kids away from the pharmacy. Never had a problem while I was there. I had an apartment in South Berwick, Maine, so they had to wait until I came across the river. It certainly was an interesting time.

A few wall flower purchases early: FBN, ETH, MAS, OLN, APL, MTW. Now we'll see what the day brings. I'm out of the S fund COB today and I'll be 40C/60I until who knows when.

Ahh, Dover. UNH, at least in the circles I travelled, wasn't exactly a hot bed of radicalism.

Enough nostalgia talk. If you want to shoot the $hit about place and time PM me. Otherwise, let the memories rest in piece.

Futures are warming up nicely this evening - tomorrow could be the day we should of had on Tuesday. I'm looking forward to having some buying power come my direction.
